I can respect your resolve. Your stance is solid so I can respect it. More power to ya if your friends come back to the game and force you to play on a different server or faction erasing your progress from vanilla. Good day sir
Thats the system they are using not just testing
Blasphemy!
That’s literally exactly what I’m doing actually lol. Thanks
No they quite literally said they are just testing it. This by no means it’s going live yet. Do I need to point you in the direction drums took too?
agreed. Classic is fun because it’s hard. If you wanna make the game in your way , why play classic? Go back to retail. It’s the feeling after so many tries on the hard bosses/questing/ pre-raid preparation/wild pvp that makes the game exciting. We have to fall/ lose/ get wiped a lot , then finally make it. It’s not you are winning every time. That’s not game, even not true living.
Remove the boost, remove the mount, remove the arena gear changes. Just keep the game how it was.
Good luck with that.
Yeah i’m not going to lie here, that is pretty silly to do after they complained about retail giving epics away outside of raids and such.
I mean TBC is still at the time where you have to work hard to get your gear, so why aren’t we collectively applauding this change since it won’t be meta’ed to death to a point where it will become a requirement for not just PvP but to start out in Raiding too possibly? At least that’s what i think it will happen if it’s left in.
I get it’s more authentic to leave it in, but there’s some things you have to leave in the past. And i’m looking at you Spell Batching.
Blizzard would tell us the Earth is flat if it meant more money in their pockets. Their lawyers and PR people got together to discuss how best to spin the boost so they don’t look like huge hypocrites after stating that the goal is authenticity, and that’s what they came up with.
#somechanges turned into waaaaaaaaaa now its not so funny anymore
back to the cave, shoo
lol that comment really got to you huh
Yeah, well call that irony
What part of farming Kara/Gruul/Mag is “hard”? I’m not talking about time consuming attunements I’m talking about difficulty. T4-T5 + heroic badge spam is literal welfare epics.
The 2200 shoulder requirement in Season 1 of TBC will only be obtained by 1% of the entire Wow pvp population. Tell me again how hard the mini boss fight before Gruul is for your T4 shoulder token. Do you think Prince Malchezaar’s weapon drops are on par with the skill level required for 2050 where only 3% of the entire Wow pvp population can achieve?
This rating system made sense for Sunwell at the time because only 1-3% people completed anything in Sunwell. Kara is not the time to release stingy rating requirements.
At 1500 rating your earnings are ~250 points a week. Even loosing 10 games a week at 1500 rating would take you 12-13 weeks to get a 3150 point weapon. That’s a little more than 2 weeks buddy…

If you afk lose, your rating would plummet to. It would take 6 months.
People used to loose their 10 games then reform a team which started at 1500 rating. So you would have your 10 games played and a 1500 rating for the week. Was it abusing the system like bracket stacking in Classic - yes - but the low points earned per week meant this method took months and months to get all the gear anyway.
can que more than 1 bracket
This is what people don’t seem to understand and use it as a very poor argument saying “well because blizz told us”. Do they really think corporate would make a statement that is anti-micros? The statement itself encourages purchasing boosts because well “THE REAL GAME STARTS AT 58 HERPA DERPA”. The sheer amount of boot licking going on is making me actually hope they keep the arena changes in so that subs dwindle and we end up with retail 2.0. At least that way it would be official that retailers have taken over and ruined the game with their stupid ideas.
One streamer said it best that the game trajectory wasn’t on a slippery slope, but fallen off a cliff.
If you were to match the amount of pve gear awarded in relation to pvp gear from these changes you would have to remove 80-90% of karazhan gear per lockout. The changes are that drastic from the pvp side of things. And with lack of rewards there’s going to be an obvious lack of participation as others have stated. Hopefully they can make up the lost subs with boosts though rofl.
I mean I get the whole no change crowd wanting to dunk on people who wanted certain changes but this is something I’ve never seen requested and hated by all. I don’t think bashing the playerbase is right here when blizzard strong armed this thru when casuals and glads alike wanted and expected the old system.
