The same people complaining about epics being handed out like candy in retail are now complaining that the highest ilvl gear in the game will have rating requirements, and won’t be handed out after losing in arena for a few weeks.
Those same people crying that Blizzard isn’t keeping Classic TBC “as it was” are completely silent or in favor of Blizzard delaying the tier 5 raids, which were open at TBC launch.
You don’t care about authenticity. You don’t care about epics having “meaning.” You are upset that you can’t play arena for two hours a week at 1,200 rating and eventually deck out your characters in the highest ilvl gear.

I also think it’s hilarious how they are calling for “TBC authenticity” whilst using there mega phones for pro boost threads. Cherry pickers at there finest

I’m one of these people and I don’t see how these two things are even relatable. Tbc starts at 58 in outland. I’m concerned with tbc content not vanilla content. Blizzard even stated themselves that they think tbc starts at 58

No, that’s not it. Most players will surpass 1200 rating easily. The reality is the biggest piece to the arena gear is having a good weapon. Which is not out of the reach of most players. So unless you’re lucky enough to be in a PVE guild to hand you a good weapon. You pretty much don’t get weapons at all.
Players don’t want to que up for arena and lose because their gear sucks. They want to lose because they’re just bad. Anyways, arena will suck, you’ll see very quickly how little people end up playing it.
TBC had Recruit-a-friend which was even more broken than boosts because it gave you a massive exp boost and allowed you to grant free levels to another character; in total it gave you way more than a single 58 boost does.
but go off

EXACTLY! It makes absolutely no sense. The community has just lost its mind…

2050/2200 rating requirements don’t make sense for Season 1-3. You can walk into Kara blindfolded and still collect loot. If they feel like they need to do anything (I wish they wouldn’t) the gear needs to at least be the season 3 model up until season 3. 2k shoulders, 1850 weapon, no other requirements. S4 rating requirements made sense considering the difficulty of Sunwell.

Guilty as charged. What’s next? Do I have to check myself into the nearest reeducation camp?

All of this is ignorant. The highest rated teams are gonna have to sustain their high rating for a solid FOUR WEEKS to get a 2 hander, Xbow/gun/bow.
People losing 10 games a week will have their 2 hander by the end of Season 1. Way long after its been replaced by T4 gear.
This is frustrating to hear. The current rating requirements make T4 quality gear more exclusive than Sunwell / T6 gear by a mile.

Agreed. Do the same for PVE. You shouldn’t be able to 2 hours a week kara/mag/gruul and be decked out in easy epics either. Make TBC an authentic experience and turn it back to where only the 1% are clearing all the content.

You can spend 30 hours a week in kara… if you don’t kill the bosses you don’t get the epics.
Its still too easy. Make the pve epics as hard to get as the pvp epics.

The people complaining they can’t lose arenas for 2 weeks straight to get BiS weapons at launch.
