I mean, I was looking forward to it. Makes joining dungeons as a tank or sometimes heal suuuper convenient.
Having tanks incentivized to run groups also can’t be a bad thing.
Not sure I see how spamming for dungeons and waiting on tanks promotes community building. It also seems a bit hypocritical on Blizzard’s behalf considering they’re not doing anything to stop boosting.

i should have been clearer then, Id prefer it be a feature released to help combat the dying off of organic dungeon groups later on, right now its hellish in my experience to make a basic heroic or non heroic dungeon group this late.
the info I have is from my own experience and that of others i know, that’s the only “real” info I and presumably others can go off. others going off their own mileage of course.
But will they do Seasons of Mastery TBC though? Thats a different gig.

Yeah the classic community has done a 180 since all its campaigning prior to vanilla classic.
Now it’s in favor of every QoL, queue, cross realm feature possible. Even have HvH BGs and removing arena teams lol.
Two different communities. The “classic” community and the people who were asking for vanilla before it launched are two wholly different groups of people.
The “we” that you’re referring to is a very small portion of the community. They just happen to make the most noise.
For example, people who are fine with LFD or like LFD would never come to the forums and ask them to remove it. But supporters of LFD would flock to the forums if blizzard said they were going to remove it. Think about this. It’s a very important concept when interacting with people on the internet.
It may appear you have popular support for removal of LFD, but that’s only because you’re seeing the people who have a problem it, not the people who love it. The people who love it have no reason to come to the forums and praise LFD because it’s all ready in the game.
Blizzard is very bad at gauging the diversity of the audience playing the game and continues to make terrible decisions with classic era games. It’s costed them hundreds of thousands of subscribers and they’ll lose out on a ton of subscribers in WOTLK if they remove LFD.

Well, many of the QoL features that the majority of players - at least at the start - were against were systems we never had during these eras of the game. The latter bit, the HvH and adjusting arena ratings, was more for convenience and because of the horrendous faction balance that the playerbase ended up with (due in part to Blizzard’s complete failure on that end).
LFD is authentic to Wrath, even if it is only during the final patch, so coming out and saying it won’t be in at all isn’t going to be a popular move. Especially since most players are sick of how difficult it is to run dungeons during late-stage patches/phases.
