Stop pretending LFD was always a beloved system

which leads casual players who don’t have a guild, or an active guild or are new to the game and don’t have friends they have made over the past 3 years?

They’re instead trying to pug dungeons wondering why it’s so hard if the server is so full.

if you dont like LFD, just don’t use? lol ?

I’d recommend they try out a casual single player game and not an mmo that requires you to socialize and be active to achieve whatever goals they have in mind.

There are late night guilds

If they want to easily find dungeon groups while the rest of the server sleeps? They may not want to.

that’s just a bad take.

anti LFD people would rather the game literally die than be more welcoming to players

Man exactly, it’s like these guys have never actually used the dang lfd tool.

Must be rose colored goggles because in reality it blows.

This argument is such BS. You cannot choose to not use it once it’s in the game. There is no one in the LFG channel anymore, no one will want to drop their place in queue to take a chance in your group, and no one will want to miss out on random dungeon bonus rewards.

If LFD is in the game, you HAVE to use it. Thats how it has always been on every wrath server released since retail wrath.

Seriously, I have tried “just not using it” when I was younger and more naive.

I’m not even against it. I don’t care if they put it in the game or not. I’d never use it. I just think it’s entertaining that some people HAVE to have it or the game is unplayable.

yeah i mean LFD is Returning player friendly or alt friendly low level dungeon quests etc. No if you miss the first wave of leveling your are just SOL.

More like “willful ignorance” tbh. LFD wasn’t a perfect system it had a ton of flaws.

sure but it did not kill the game or wrath.

Wrath private servers have always been the most popular and they had LFD some math don’t add up

as opposed to searching for 2hrs or more to find a tank, have the tank leave and then have to get yourself and 3 other people to wait those 2hrs again for a new tank.

RDF is actually better in this situation as completion of a dungeon in RDF has rewards seperate from the dungeon itself(bonus exp and badges). where if that tank leaves you high and dry in a manually formed dungeon you better hope the replacement wants something from that boss or you’re SOL.

Regardless you can trot out these “but what if?” all day and still ignore that a majority of RDF runs end successfully and in the off chance a member does leave you have more general assurance of the spot being filled as you no longer are at the mercy of your own server population.

i spoke to soon

You are also using skewed data to support your argument, mainly using the estimated time to form a group during the second to last phase of TBC and equating that to being the same time you would wait at the literal start of a new expansion when everybody is running instances.

The only complaint to be made on LFD is that it should be in during the end of WotLK roughly around the time of ICC when it naturally released in the expansion with the content (ICC 5 mans) that it was designed for.

nahh not just the end as soon as the major leveling wave is done and that’s not including people that did not play vanilla or tbc but want to level in wrath why do they get screwed harder? That don’t wan’t to pay for boost

Well LFD didn’t come out at the start of WotLK so I don’t see how they are being screwed in any way. There weren’t hordes of new players leveling in the 1-70 zones at the start of WotLK so your argument doesn’t make sense tbh. New players will be in the exact same boat now as they were then.

Yes, because you can continue to quest and play while you wait in queue
