Look back at the lawsuits that have come up over the years with this culture. The people who get outed have a hard time. This is nothing new.
But when people go to twitter instead of the people who are filing suit to me they are hypocrites. If they had gone to the State with their evidence they may have actually helped but throwing it into the court of public opinion first is a little odd no?
Most of the comments Iāve seen from people who left Blizzard were victims of harassment who left because after multiple attempts to get things addressed, they were given zero support whatsoever.
I will never hold it against a victim of harassment or abuse who chooses to leave their situation rather than sacrifice their mental health and career trying to address an industry wide issue.
I only wish we had a functioning social safety net (and ideally union protections for workers in every industry) so that the people who had to choose between being abused or destitute had a third option.

Do you have any reason to believe that the people posting on Twitter havenāt already given evidence to the state, and are posting about it publicly only because the lawsuit is public knowledge and they can do so without endangering themselves or the case?

I am not either? I am 100% with the victims here. But I urge you to go look at some of the tweets in a few other threads and the comments coming from them and tell me how they are constructive?
To me they are just as gross, no excuse, but I donāt get the coming out on twitter thing rather than going to the authorities, who would have 100% advised them not to make any public statements.

They want these statements kept at bay til they hit the discovery phase. You think they want Blizzardās lawyers to have a heads up of everything?
Do you have a family reliant on your paycheck to eat and have a house?
Given the choice between committing career suicide in solidarity and continuing to work while not being a part of the problems and trying to work towards solutions, Iād choose to stay.
Making my kids hungry and homeless just means that 2 more innocent people are going to suffer because Afrasiabi and others are dickheads.

People donāt know how this works I would think. Getting blacklisted from industries is what alot of people are scared of in those types of jobs. Itās why they sign NDAās and stuff, people can get blacklisted and not be able to work in any of the fields they studied for.

So you go to school for 4+ years, incur debt or pay 10ās of thousands out of pocket, get a job somewhere, find out the industry sucks for women, then just quit and have no income and owe massive debt or eat the massive cost of said degree as a loss?
All this after relocating to CA to work for what you thought was a dream job?

Banding together is easier said then done. Especially in social climateās that look down on that type of communication as gossip and always discorage people from sharing how much they make with their co-workers. You can yell on top of a hill all you like but if no one listens did you even make a sound?
thatās a issue that can be dealt with after the actual issue of sexual harassment is. Being late is better than never speaking up at all. For now everyone deserves a voice so all sides can be heard to their full capacity.
I wished people would just ignore it all. Its basically someone saying it happened without any evidence. I can say anything I want to about anyone but it doesnt make it true.
SO many false accusations that ruin peoples lives are allowed to go unchecked and unpunished. Its time for a little logic to take over and less emotion.
Real tangible evidence needs to be presented and not just someone making an allegation.

Yeah, they have a hard time because a lot of them lie about it. Many of them have admitted to lying about it. Others have been found out to be lying about it but still stick to them telling the truth. The girl who carried around the mattress, yeah, whole thing made up.
And why care what some no face people on the internet have to say?
