People, and men for the most part, even hard criminals, dont like rapists. Thats what made the scene in Goblin Slayer so good in terms of story telling, its used to make you absolutely hate the goblins as much as Goblin Slayer so you will root for them, to show how vile those creatures are.
People are listening, they just want to make sure they arent lying. Punishing innocent people just for a judgement is bad as well.

Well hold on. Two things can be bad without being exactly as bad as each other. I would not say that someone temporarily staying quiet about sexual harassment is exactly as bad as someone who habitually engages in sexual harassment. Thereâs a considerable gap in the severity of those two offenses.
Well⌠Even if we admit that they did something wrong and arenât a great person, thereâs still utility and power in their callouts. Power that can be used for justice. And justice is worth celebrating.

Is there though? I have yet to hear of one of these men going to the State with their statements. Why go on twitter? My opinion, they want to look good for speaking out, they donât really care. I have a feeling a lot of those coming forward will get hit with the same punishments.

You guys also confuse victim blaming, with pointing out victim responsibility. They do have a level of responsibility in the entire thing. Nothing can be done if the victims dont speak up, and waiting to speak up makes it harder and harder as time goes on. Thats why even on the DFEH website there are limits, 3 years for one thing and 1 year for another. You wait longer than that and they cant help you.
You also have a very small view of people. No people dont tolerate this type of behavior if it is actually going on. People can be fans of a game, and want the people removed that is making the workplace a bad place to be. It would make a better working environment which means a better product.
Maybe actually watch Goblin Slayer though. Again, it serves the purpose of making people pissed at the villains of the story because the vast majority of humans dont like rape. Even people in for murder do stuff to these guys in prison.
Yes. Because as much of a dumpster fire as Twitter is, very ugly things happen when courts do things without the support of public opinion. Back in the civil rights era days you could have mobs gathered outside court houses to kidnap and lynch people as they were brought into court because they disagreed with how the courts handled things.
And sure, maybe they have self-interest in making themselves look better or whatever. I donât consider that to be a particularly big problem in the grand scheme of things. They are not going to achieve celebrity status and worship by calling people out on Twitter.

Do you think evidence is going to exist in 5 years? 3 years? 1 year? 6 months? No. Thats why victims need to go and do what they have to do. They have a responsibility because the perp isnt going to do it for them.
All this waiting stuff and making excuses for it, is the problem. Yeah let these guys do even more of it to other people because you decided to wait 5 years. Thats 5 years of more victims because YOU decided not to do anything.
Even the DFEH, this organization that people are all clamoring for, says that the people that have a claim need to submit all evidence. Who did it, any paperwork that is relevant, and any other evidence that is also relevant. They know that victims have a responsibility. Saying people dont have any responsibility if they are a victim is stupid and detrimental to the victim.
Tell me where either of us blamed the victims for coming forward. Go on, we will wait.
