Stop Listening to Ex Employees

you dont have to be a good person to do a good deed. you can be an average human with flaws that decided to take positive action when you see that it might help/when you’re not worried about your personal circumstances.

again, coming forward doesnt automatically make you a nice person, but coming forward and being helpful is still being helpful.

so yea, maybe those ex employees are also bad apples, but whats wrong with listening to what they are saying if it is the truth?

Well, some one went to the state and it caused them to start the investigation, how do you know which ones did/didn’t? Ever think that maybe they’re going public now because the news broke and they don’t have to keep quiet any longer? You cannot definitively say that NONE of them came forward when the state is relying on witnesses.

I usually try to keep an open mind on allegations prior to seeing the hearing and the proof being presented but…we now have current WoW dev’s like Lore chiming in saying all the ex-devs “knew it was happening”. Which is indirectly admitting it happened. The whole situation is insane.

The execs are who are being discussed.

I wasn’t aware that anyone was listening to those people.

Rude.

I think you assumed a lot about this industry. I guess I should expect it from uneducated buffoons. Yeah I went there. Look into today’s mining. Also not in a mine, I work in purchasing, so cool on yet another assumption from you.

You think women in a predominantly male industry are just rock breakers? Shows me what you think we are capable of accomplishing, making you exactly like these men.

Kudos!

No. They can reprimand people for violating a gag order, but they cannot prevent you from speaking.

No, dumbass, they spent a lot of money to get a degree that’s useless in any other field, and the gaming industry (and many other industries) regularly blackball people in retaliation for situations like this. They most likely moved to one of the most expensive housing markets on the planet and are utterly dependent on their Blizzard salary to not be homeless, nevermind what its like to live in the US without health insurance and the constant fear that an accident could leave you hundreds of thousands in medical debt.

The only responsibility victims have in this situation is to make the least worst decision they can for themselves.

Because if they did, they would have been blacklisted from the gaming industry by Blizzard and thus have to find a new career in a different industry- and a “Game Design” degree doesn’t really help with that.

You are forgetting an extremely important part of good logic: Motive.
What material purpose does asking that question serve us? None. It is not enough to simply judge and scold people. That is ultimately a waste of our time on its own.

You’re kind of letting the mask slip, aren’t you? This isn’t how society works. It will never be how society works. That would be a pipe dream. So really what you’re saying is that you want to stifle and/or censor anyone talking about it or forming opinions on it.

Do you need to be a good person in order to be protected from sexual harassment and abuse? Is that how our law works? We just laugh at victims and tell them they deserved it because we don’t like them?

“He was no angel.” is a logical fallacy I know best from its frequent deployment by the far right whenever someone gets murdered by cops for jaywalking, so you’ll understand if I hold it in extremely low regard.

Oh, yeah what was I thinking, they spent money on a degree stay and get harassed women.

SHUT UP! You are a piece of human garbage. Thats what you are saying. You are making excuses why someone should stick around vile behavior. Just like the Jehovas Witnesses that would tell a women to work it out with her abusive husband and she ends up dead.

People like you are the problems telling people they have no responsibility in their life and its everyone else. Stay in these environments and not to get out over blatantly bs excuses.

Never said that. Even in that paragraph. Projection of your own feelings?

Really? Because a lot of the victims have posted under these tweets and said the same as I have. Curious, when they feel the same way no?

It’s odd that you can see it any other way to me.

No I think predominately rock breakers in a rock breaking industry are rock breakers.

Whether your a man or women the mining industry just seems like a place where you only need a high school diploma

Ok you soloing mythic jailor would get you flattened am I right. Well this is reality and they only have one life. So they can’t stand up to mythic jailer alone. So they bide their time and level up, gather matts and look for a raiding party. That takes time!

I do not judge anyone harshly for getting their ducks in a row and the needed back up before taking down a BOSS. Raiding parties don’t always form overnight and sometimes they are all just waiting on a good tank.

Shows how little you know. Most of us are above ground. No one breaks rocks by hand, and you need a degree to operate the machinery.

Care to try again?

You know nothing about this, you are thinking mines of 40 years ago dude.

Carry on your misinformation though! Seems we “rock breakers” as you call us, have to go to school for a lot longer than a forum troll who just makes assumptions.

Imagine trying to speak up against Blizzard’s work environment and beloved writers/senior members during the height of expansions like Wrath or Legion where not only would you be told not to make a fuss about it by your higher ups but also have the community rip you to absolute shreds because of corporate loyalty.

This is the state vs said company and people are still not listening to the victims and not having any empathy for them even when a woman is literally dead. Go figure.

Yes. I’m accusing you of something you didn’t explicitly say.

If you’re on Twitter, you’ll find absolutely no shortage of bad takes about any given subject. Personally I think this behavior is vile. A corporation gets sued by the state for an atmosphere of intense misogyny that lead to a person’s death and these people are focused on victim blaming anyone who talks about it to shut them up?

There is something deeply and inhumanely wrong with that approach to problem solving.

Man the copium is insane

Like an ex-employee shouting sexism for being fired for underperforming?

Never happens.

I want them to pay for it.

Not silencing anyone, but take a gander at Lore’s twitter. This is a prime example. He goes after others who were in the know, gets applauded in the comments, yet those same people aren’t cluing in that if he knew that these outsiders knew he was just as guilty.

You have people saying he’s brave for calling people out now. It bothers me. I don’t think anyone should celebrate this.

My title sucked, I get it, didn’t want to change it. All I am saying is thinking these people are good is off to me.
