Stop gating allied races behind reps

This should be reason enough that everyone should join the Alliance, and roll a Human character - to make sweet use of that 10% Reputation bonus as a racial buff

I can understand peoples frustrations from a horde perspective - maybe the devs should ensure that fully completing a story arc for a specific faction should reward close to Exalted reputation - for if you have fully completed their story, (regardless of class/race/faction) then you would have proven yourself to them to ally them to your side?

At this point. I doubt they will get them for putting in no effort at all. The races are easy to get. Honestly…

The Horde is a band of “allied” races. Blizzard uses the term “Allied races” to differentiate them from the races with original models and animations. 2 of the hordes allied races could just me cosmetic options for the tauren and orc.

Lvl 20 takes like 1 hour to get. it’s not an advantage.

lvl 55 - 2 days

lvl 70 - 3 days

Allied races- Max level character+ 1 month.

Do you see how inconsistent the length of time to unlock is?

Yeah, Blizzard said so! I stand totally and unequivocally corrected. Why didn’t you just say this from the beginning? Yup, you Ion well, sir.

You get the allied races by just playing the game how is that an issue. I didn’t do anything special other than the scenerio to unlock them.

Kul Tirans? Zandalari?

Maybe you haven’t realized, but Allied Races are supposed to be Prestige Races for those who’ve earned them.

A requirement that’s been known about for months. And yeah, now it makes sense why you’re complaining.

You mean “erodes over time”. People leaving a game en masse is not evolving.

You think reused assets and models are prestigious?
You think doing world quests for a month is prestigious?
You probably think LFR is prestigious

Zandalari models were in the game since mop btw. You may have a point with the kultirans but thats it.

If they are just reskins, what’s the problem just dont bother making them.

Oh I’m sorry, did you miss the part about Kul Tirans? Which are basically an entirely new race?

Also, I never noticed that Zandalari were the exact same model that was used in ToT, and totally have all the same animations with zero new ones. They are totally the same model, and not a brand new one with geosets and a completely different look!

No, I think that putting in the effort and sticking with it is worth a reward

sigh You’ve got no clue what you’re talking about, man.

It’s called perspective.

From the PoV of a returning/new player that didn’t play from launch. He really wants to play BFA because he sees that you can play “X Allied race” but turns out you need to level to max first plus take a month to get a rep to exalted.

They’re not gonna do that, why do you think everyone hates BFA right now.

Unfortunately this is a mobile game now, where you log in every 12 hours to check the status of your house being built (mobile game). (World Quests)

Until the surviving few die off, this is how it will be.

Having them Rep Locked wouldn’t be so bad if you could of unlocked them in the Previous expansion.

But the worst part is, I don’t currently have a full level on Horde side.
So not only do I have to Grind Alliance side for all of those,
If I want unlock those on Horde, it’s going to take me forever just to get those too.

But worst part is that, if I want the Heritage Armor for those as well, I’m going to need to level another character OF A CLASS I ALREADY HAVE.
I mean, I lucked out with Void elves because I hadn’t leveled a Warlock yet but it was the last class I haven’t played (that I wanted to.)

But I have several Night Elf Characters that I would just race Change over to the new races if only I wasn’t losing out on the Heritage Armor.

I mean, It’s an undue burden on Long Time Players who don’t want to keep rerolling new characters at every turn.

Slightly updated skin textures and some required player animations.

Yep, you have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about.

They aren’t regular races, they start off at lv 20, have a mount, and other perks. Special things have special requirements to unlock them.

You either do what is required or you don’t get em.

have you SEEN the zandalari paladin mount? it’s fantabulous!

not sure if it’s been covered already, but honestly i don’t see why the opposite faction’s allied races don’t unlock when you do it on the other. i wanna play a troll again, and the new one seems pretty cool… but i’m not boosting a character nor starting over just to have to grind that one out afterwards again.

i’ve unlocked all the horde ones with a horde toon and most of the alliance ones with an alliance toon. it makes sense to do that. if you don’t want to do that though you’re not gonna be able to play a zandalari.

I actually googled imaged it and found that the MoP textures kinda look better imo.
