Exactly. Force the back cap is the only way alliance can win.
You don’t really have to full turtle though…
Alliance need to stop capping SHB and Need to protect that south GY that’s just outside the horde base.
They never do either so it turns into a turtle.
Alliance never protect that GY which is so incredibly important
The problem is AV on AV weekend isn’t about winning. It’s about getting exp as quickly as possible so you can stop doing it. It’s not like anyone is spamming AVs all day for fun.

Alliance can easily win in 7-8 mins no problem but they screw it up every time

imagine being such a virgin spergelord that you have nothing better to do on christmas weekend than troll peoples leveling experience and complain that people arnt playing a 15 year old battleground the way you want them to. just sad. absolutely sad.
Some of us aren’t extremely focused on maximizing xp:hour.
I play to win/farm achievements. Working on GY capping today. Once that is done, going to work on my tower recapping.

I love back capping in AV. It’s my favorite thing to do in that bg. There’s just something so satisfying about taking back a bunker and slowing horde down.

Whats funny is, horde still lose at turtling. They cant even win at the strategy that gives them the best chance to.
In the end the only thing horde is good at is wasting everyones time

People just need to learn that you can backcap without forcing a turtle.
Just backcap IBT or SHB and stop there. Don’t go to the next bunker/tower and backcap and don’t kill every enemy you see running around. Just backcap and leave to regroup with your offense. The 3-5 people you send back after killing are not enough to force a turtle if you have enough people on offense.
These games are decided mostly by which final tower drops first. Delaying the other team by just 30 seconds is usually enough to force a win provided your team is actually ready to pull as the tower drops.

It’s not great xp on horde side. Took 3 hours to get from 70-71. I can certainly level faster than that by questing. Averaging 1 bar and some change every 10-15 mins isn’t very good.
Horde don’t understand how to race north and cap towers as fast as they can for a good chance at a 4 tower cap win/loss. If we burned 4 towers every game and lost it would be much better xp, but horde insists on sending 80% of the team to Balinda to ensure we don’t cap the northern towers fast.

the 61-70 bracket is just absolute cancer. Theres a bunch of 70 horde twinks intentionally sabotaging all the games by forcing turtles. They know exactly what theyre doing. Straight up trolling. Should be banned for gameplay sabotage. They arnt even trying to help their team win either(theyre losing most of the games)

I love AV weekends, can pretty much completely change the game as a single twink by foiling the alliance offense somewhere by backcapping a tower or killing a whole bunch and sending em north.
Just caused a turtle/resources game that ended up a horde victory.
Twink 79 AV is honestly the most fun part of the game right now to me. Get so many old style turtle games that are a massive 40 v 40 war between SH GY and SP GY.
I absolutely love games that turn out like that, that was the best thing about vanilla classic, and it’s a blast in WOTLK classic as well.

Between bots, twinks and no resilience on pre-70 gear, I highly recommend avoiding 61-70 AV. The twinks are obnoxious, but add in the bots and brutal gear vs. leveling gear and it’s typically a bad experience.
70s should have their own AV bracket. You’ll never see most of these 70 twinks in any bg but AV.

This is true. I made this character specifically for the 61-70 bracket AV. I have another rogue for 70-79 bgs.
Rocket gloves, lightning generator and sapper chargers coupled with full res geared characters ruins the low levels and it’s funny.
I went from 76 to 80 as Horde in about 33 AV games (10 wins, 13 losses) with BoA and JJ. About half a day yesterday.
