Almost no one in AV during AV Weekedn with Joyous Journeys running is there for fun. They’re there because it is, by far, the most efficient exp grind. If RDF were in the game they’d be grinding dungeons, which some of them would actually enjoy, but instead they’re in AV yelling at you to stop backcapping because slowing down the game to win is a waste of their time.

71-79 Brackets are not for people having fun period. They are for people who would probably rather be doing dungeons but can’t find groups so they spam AV to level.

Backcap everything. Camp chokepoints. Take every gy. AV is for pvp.

I back-cap SHGY on my elf-cat, then I just sit there and /pounce on anybody who aggroes the guards. SPGY is harder to hold but I’ll do the same thing if I can’t cap SHGY.

Sounds like they should give XP for each bunker/tower you’ve successfully defended to me if people are going to not play AV as it is supposed to be played.

And considering people aren’t even capping the mines despite them giving XP if you hold them at the end, I don’t think people are even worried about whatever XP they get, they just want to AFK at noob hill.

AV shouldn’t be given experience at all. It wasn’t part of the game in original wotlk until patch 3.2.
