That statement of his just screams retail casual. Like the kind of person who sits and watches YouTube videos while playing the game and not even focusing on what he’s doing cause he doesn’t have to… You can literally pull 15 mobs and not die on retail, and that’s what he wants for classic clearly otherwise he wouldn’t have said such a thing
Well you definitely don’t have to hold W the whole time, lol. What do you want to do, though?
Teleport everywhere? I don’t even understand your complaint, you don’t want to move your character?
Then maybe you should have I don’t know done some research on the classes??? if you were smart you would know that druids hunters and shaman get movement speed increases at level 20. If it’s such drudgery for you to run around until level 40 then maybe you should go back to retail
Im not level 20. Even when auto running you have to move your character left right etc. You cant just auto run everywhere and saying so is a lie. There are rarely straight lines in this game.
It is drudgery and I won’t go to retail. I’m letting other players know the classic version of world of warcraft isn’t a good game. How many “I was born in 2005” players are there? They are about 14 now.
they should know its not going to happen.
That is your opinion not ours. You’re coming into a classic general discussion forum and complaining that classic isn’t a good game… You’re effectively gaslighting and trying to cause drama. Anybody who goes to play a game that they’re not familiar with normally does a bit of research to determine what kind of class they want to roll. Sorry but you seem to be a retail troll to me
In fairness I don’t see him gaslighting as per definition of the word, you just don’t like his opinions.
I’m not gaslighting anything. I have a right to post my opinion on these forums, having had a epiphany that my gameplay of WoW BC to about 2013 was spent playing a bad game. I paid, I can come on these forums and post my opinion. When people lie about autorun solving the problem of pressing W all day long I am going to call them out on it.
I don’t really think its beyond repair. Consider how they overhaul the game each expansion they have the ability to fix it.
Yes, you have to steer your character and sbouldn’t autorun unless you’re going long distances. I was mostly pointing out that there is an autorun button, because saying you have to hold W forever really makes it seem like you might not realize that.
Or use flight paths. If you don’t like vanilla and you don’t like retail, I’m not sure why you’re even here.
It’s okay to dislike things, it’s not like anybody is forcing you to play video games.
But disliking something doesn’t make it a bad game, it’s just not for you, and that is perfectly fine.
The problem is that they’re likely afraid of upsetting too many people.
Im here because I want people to know. I am putting fourth a voice aganist classic. And yes I will get passionate with my views at times. We need to move forward, not backward. I mean here is another thing about classic, is eating and drinking after every single pull really good?
There’s a whole game for that. You already pay for it.
Classic literally exists because some of us enjoy how it used to be. If that’s not what you want, you don’t have to play it.
That depends on what your definition of a fix is. If you are talking about removing all the QoL features and everything that involves interaction with people on other servers, heirlooms, transmog, barbershop, etc. then no.
The problem with making those changes to retail is that it would alienate the people who like retail for what it is. Look at what happened when Ion Hazzikostas tried to remove flying back in WoD. There was massive player backlash all over the forums, and over a million people ragequit over it. I guarantee that if such drastic changes were to happen to retail, they would lose what few remaining loyal players they have left. Blizzard is definitely going to have their work cut out for them if they want to even attempt this
Dude you rolled a mage. It comes with the territory. Be prepared to drink like a fish after every single fight until you get Evocation and mana gems. There’s a reason that they are able to conjure food and water, because otherwise, you can’t afford anything else due to how often you would have to buy them… That’s just how it was/is. Either adapt and accept the drastic differences from retail or quit… nobody is forcing you to play
Im gonna counter that point. I played a paladin and it was drink after every pull too. Warriors I’ve been told need to eat after every pull too. I think they could have designed the game so the generation was a little quicker to allow for seamless gameplay. What would be wrong with that? Even though this game is 15 years old soon, as it was newly released I think its fair to ask questions about the design. Also to ask for potential changes, a remake (classic +) if you will.
No paladins have a much easier time with their judgments and blessings and seals to regain Mana/HP… Warriors however you have a point with. Food and bandages were the only way for them to heal after combat. They alone have the most down time out of any of the other classes due to this and therefore take the longest to level unless you strictly run dungeons over and over as a tank
lmao I laughed so much because it’s so true. Thank you for that bit.
My man, if this is not a troll post then my goodness. The entire narrative of the WoW retail community is literally “Wait till next patch bros”, even day of patch release this is said. If you are blind to this or have not seen this then I understand this post but then I would comment back that you are oblivious to the game you are interested in. They have had enough time to fix retail, Blizz cares about other money makers now. WoW retail is a dying breed of game and the company just is not invested enough into its production anymore.
