The only way this game can get more realistic is to stop playing it and play pen and paper dungeons and dragons or it’s cousins like Warhammer etc. A computer game can only do so much whereas a pen and paper game, I have found anyway, can be much more realistic.
The original Neverwinter Nights came very close to achieving this because players could create their own worlds or scenarios and host them from their computers and would “dungeon master” the game while players are playing it.
The company was bought out and went downhill after that…sound familiar?
They didn’t add Classic as a means to go backwards. They added it to make extra money, you’re not getting Classic+. BC does not = Classic+. You are the kind of person who is absolutely never satisfied no matter what they do. Unsub and stay off the general forums if Classic is so important to you, there is a forum for it. Bye.
Personally I just abbreviate, I acknowledge it’s still there but since I don’t believe any other genre really does a true MMO I just refer to MMORPG as MMO for short.
I agree. Get rid of fox furries, pandas, and a lot of these garbage race/class combos that shouldve never been a thing.
Make WoW Great Again! Im waiting for a TBC version so i can obtain pvp gear and still have fun playing the game when it was PURE. Not this 2020 activision lefty agenda furry poop
What a ridiculous statement. The OP is talking about the gimmicky expansion exclusive systems that have been in the past few expansions. They come into the game, everything is based around them, and then they’re gone. It’s a terrible way to design an mmorpg. It’s completely jarring…there’s no cohesion to the game anymore as you transition from content to content.
Why do they do it? Because the devs are lazy. So creating one tool by which to tune the classes is the easiest mechanism for them. Instead of concentrating on making a fun, engaging, immersive experience they concentrate on these self-contained systems that define each expansion. They also think thematically each expansion needs ‘an identity’ to set it apart from every other expansion. Something to point to and say THAT system defines this expansion. In and of itself that’s bad design, but then you factor into it the effect when suddenly you remove that dial…the game is completely broken. Until the next expansion which replaces another system that balance and tune everything around. It disregards everything that came before and comes after it. They don’t design expansions. They design individual 2 year game experiences. This method has already proven bad for the game, but the devs have a history of putting their egos above the good of the game or the playerbase…so I don’t see it changing.
I can sum up reasons here, I have heard from the majority of the Classic community has expressed dissatisfactory that is retail WoW, While I may not like it currently but Classic+ is effectively Retail 2.0 and not many people in the Classic community will not follow through on this, I will not follow through on Classic+ if it becomes a reality.
Also considering this will be most likely be developed by the same team that is behind Warlords of Draenor and Battle for Azeroth, they could potentially take things from retail and add it to Classic+ which as I stated earlier, The classic community will not follow through on these changes hence why many people has proved dissatisfactory towards retail, you could argue with me by saying “Just rehire the people that made the og game” but heres the catch though, those people are either working for other companies or doing other stuff and probably has no interest, you could also bring up hiring new people but still they are not the same people that made the game, I’m sorry to burst your echo chamber.
Party zones into a raid. Everyone picks a seat. Your character creates it’s character. NPC DM shows up and the raid begins… pray your rolls don’t suck.
No weapon scaled until Mists of Pandaria. If you mean it was the same, you are slightly mistaken. The Rank 14 weapon was better than BWL drops because stamina. Sure, there were some Naxx things, but you certainly did NOT use T3 until level 70. That is absurd.
No point bro the retail players LOVE there QOL changes they are the reason it’s such a trash game because they cry on the forums every day till blizzard gives in. Oh well at least classic is good!! And you really think blizzard could make a new xp for classic+ and do it right haha yeah right they can’t even make a good xp and all they do is copy paste everything.
At this point, we should have REAL MMORPG features like housing, more SOCIAL events, things that don’t require us to GRIND all the time and are there just for fun.
MMORPGs are literally designed around grinding forever, playing with friends, and exploring. Just because you can’t make friends doesn’t mean Blizzard needs to mandate social events.
A very large portion of the player base does nothing but casually play by farming old content and exploring places. You have no right to tell them what to do in their spare time, just like how they can’t demand content they don’t do to be changed because they don’t like the play style required.
In fact love doing old content the last few months of every expansion. It’s relaxing to mounts and transmog. Speaking of which I need to run ICC.
You only like classic because your raid rotation is one button and you still mess that up. I’m not one to smear people who genuinely struggle but let’s be honest with ourselves here. You just don’t like retail because you can’t compete.
