The main thing is adding old skills and going back to level 60 but then there is the infinite amount of World Quest, Reputations, Zones, Menus, Mini-Games, Toys etc.
It’s just way too much in an attempt to keep people trapped and in a monthly subscription.
At this point, we should have REAL MMORPG features like housing, more SOCIAL events, things that don’t require us to GRIND all the time and are there just for fun.
Woot! Finally! The ONE person who they made the game for pops up to make demands. Other people like to fish, some like to craft, and others love pet battles or PvP. But YOU… we prolly ought prune off the other stuff to allow you to be happy. Thanks for popping up, I’m certain we all wondered where you were. We might all just play checkers… because, well… checkers rocks.
Rly tho, there are other tangents at play - did you consider them?
May be time to try a new game then. You quitting after Shadowlands is the same as them not making expansions, only it won’t affect any of us that do want more.
Because people like you want retail to be classic. I dont mind the direction that retail was goinf. But people always have the idea that classic was peak of the game.
Not everyone cares for housing. And this the crux of the problem – not specifically with housing – but that game features don’t always appeal to every single player. And that’s completely okay.
What, with the level squish? That was inevitable. It’d be stupid if the game just kept going to 300 or something. Personally I hope they just keep the cap at 60 in subsequent expansions and squish everything else back.
Also, if you’re such a fan of Classic, why do you seem to think it’s a bad thing that they’re taking some design elements from it for retail?
There are are few definitions of “Classic+” but probably the most common is probably using Classic as a base and taking all of the successful/“good” changes of every xpac since and applying them without any of failed changes. Like a do-over without any of the numerous mistakes, probably with a different story and expansion track.
I disagree. Shadowlands needs to be the last expansion in which we face threats of ever escalating proportion. BfA would have been so much better if it was truly just about the faction conflict, political alliances and intrigue, and betrayal. That could have then lead into an expansion centered back on Northrend and the growing unrest and threat of the new Lich King that had been foreshadowed for a while now.
This constant bombardment by cosmic level threats is becoming tiresome and boring.
