If Warcraft 4 were ever to happen, it would be more likely to be an open world RPG. Thatâs whatâs popular right now. No one is going to play an RTS in 202X.

Burning Crusade is Classic Plus. If you think the current Dev team could do justice to a re-imaging of new Classic content, Iâm in awe of your optimism.
Thereâs nothing that needs fixing. Flying is one of the things Iâm looking forward to most in TBC. The fact you can justâŠlevel and get flying and enjoy it. Thatâs how the game used to be: the devs threw features they knew players enjoyed and just said, âHave fun!â Not endless grinds and pointless time-gating to unlock the actual fun stuff.
And people who say flying ruined the game are being silly. What did it ruin? World pvp? Please. Speaking as someone who played since before bgs were added thatâs nonsense. World pvp died with bgs. Ultra super died with arenas. Flying actually greatly increased world pvp as it got players out in the world. Willing to explore and hunt down the enemy faction without having to trod around the terrain.
As far as the rest of your post Blizzard will release whatever Classic expansion they feel has sufficient demand. Thatâll be TBC and Wrath. After that I doubt there will be much demand at all. Call it the Classic Trilogy.

Honestly, the classic and retail communities need to be brought back together somehow.
Retail needs to release an expansion that is attractive to the classic community while keeping necessary modern systems and meld the two worlds together.
Am sure Chromie can figure something out.
What a poor topic. Vaguely complaining about nonsense. Like the addition of toys or WQs is harmful to the game, wat? Nah? The only harmful stuff is borrowed power. Because it wastes years of development just to have it thrown away when the next expansion comes out.
Also the level squish was a good thing. It removed garbage from the game. Hopefully we stop raising the level cap past 60 and learn from this mistake. There can be other alternative ways to progress characters or accounts that have nothing to do with gear or level to use in the future.

Does the word expansion even qualify anymore? Remember back in the day when an expansion would drop and weâd be so excited about the new spells, the new abilities, the new talents, professions, etc. And they were so cool and added so much to the game.
Now when an âexpansionâ comes out we wonder whatâs going to get gutted, whatâs going to be broken. What else they can take away. The overwhelming sense I get is that people are hoping Blizz doesnât screw it up too bad. The fact thatâs seen as a hopeful goal is so telling.

As long as they let us grind them! Only having dailies and WQs sucks. Let me go slaughter ogres for beads, let me put on a tabard and spend all day in dungeons, I donât mind a grind but let me work for it!
And what content do you think youâre doing right now? itâs revamped old content with all the old options and spells. They have AND are just recycling old content every patch.

With the recent announcement of starcraft 2, basically the last bastion of the RTS, not getting any more new paid content itâs hard to see a good future for the RTS genera.
It honestly breaks my heart, I adore rts games. However the genera is pretty dead.
