lol i don’t get it. if a game does player housing that doesn’t mean that’s the ONLY thing they’re doing.
it’s an addition like PvP most ppl don’t do it. but it’s there for those that do.

Yes, but raiding in those games isn’t like WOWs. In my opinion, raiding in FFXIV is more like completing a RP dungeon with a bunch of text. You have to realize WOW is 20 years old, they don’t have the engine for player housing. If you just want to sit afk in a home and decorate just say that. Besides, there’s so many games out there that will forever be better than WOW’s never happening player housing.
Yes, but the people who want it are the people sitting in Vladdraken doing zero content and are just on the forums complaining about there not being enough solo content. There’s only a select few that actually do content that want player housing.
Exactly. But they are so bitter that a lot of people enjoy having a creative space within a game. They can’t stand the idea of people having fun in a way they don’t approve.
I do think eventually they’ll add it… either to this game or whatever WoW 2 soft reboot they have planned after The Last Titan.
over 60% of the playerbase raids at some level of content which includes casuals. I am a casual mythic raider as an example.
The source is Blizzard hasnt implemented it.
Clearly which means that the majority of players that dont care about housing are multiplied more than the minority on the forums that want it.

you still raid to get loot. Also, some of the high tier (savage, ultimate) is pretty difficult. There are also still: dungeons, gear treadmills, questing, banks, guilds, etc.

LFR is not raiding, its LFR Qed content, you can say that 60% does dungeons as well that will include Qed dungeons, but a very small % of people do heroic raid / mythic keys… look at last season first week no keys in group finder, i didnt look this week yet cuz i have no time

Many adults play Roblox and people in this game have the mental age of being 12 in this game, but roblox does have many players. You cope, if someone is recommending you roblox then you must be doing something wrong.
Player housing is the stupidest waste of resources in every mmo unless they charge micro transactions to cover the implementation and dev time/ costs
I don’t want to play it. I’ve no interest in it. Also, it really is populated by kids. My daughter plays it and I see exactly what Roblox is-- a game designed with kids in mind. Sure some adults play it, but I’d rather not.
You make the false assumption (because you didn’t stop and think, this doesn’t surprise me) that ALL I ( or anyone else who messes with a housing system) do in game is housing. Nope. I love traditional RPGS with gear progression, dungeons, raids, banking, guilds, etc. But almost every MMORPG -also- has housing. It’s a common, popular feature. It makes MMORPGs a lot of money.
I don’t get why this is so hard for you to understand.
FFXIV doesn’t have a lot of mtx for housing and yet it’s one of the most popular features and one of the most popular MMOs.

It’s “hard” for me to “understand” because I don’t want my game to be filled with useless maintenance for the small minority that wants a house to play Barbies with. Not to mention, I don’t want raid loot to include chairs, dining tables, and everything above.
I have other activities and games I do with her.
Why doesn’t Blizzard have it? They’ve already talked about wanting to add it in the future, but the engine will need a rework. Personal guess is by The Last Titan, or whatever they have planned for the game going forward after that-- be it a soft reboot with an engine update or WoW 2

And I don’t want raids to include mounts and toys, yet here we are. It’s called: pull up your big kid undies and cope. It doesn’t hurt you and if you aren’t forced to participate, you don’t need to whine.
