Starhub Singapore, Singtel, MyRepublic - Lots of Spikey World delay

Not even through the first response, and you’ve painted yourself response as ugly. If you want to sound in the least bit knowledgeable, stop trying to be CNN and get “shots” in whenever it’s convenient.

So basically like everyone else. 20 Home/ 25 World, but thanks to servers being unable to handle large groups of people, I consistently find myself with server lag in incursion wars.

Like I said, the lag is worldwide. I couldn’t care less what server you play on, it doesn’t change my statement.

If you cannot connect to the server, then it’s likely an issue on your end, or your ISP. That has nothing to do with WoW.

At the very least, edit what you wrote next time.

Technical issues don’t always get a blue post. At this stage in Activision-Blizzard PR spiraling downward, you really think they’d want to come out bluntly and say “yeah, there is our bad”? If they plan to address it, they’re probably going to post the most sugar-coated, heavily-edited version of their response that they can manage.

What you’re describing sounds like what people are experiencing worldwide. The only difference is that your issue seems to be not allowing you to connect at all in some instances. It’s not rocket science to see the correlation, if you look at what you typed before you replied once in awhile.

Literally. Read. Our threads. READ. Everything you’ve said so far has been addressed and covered by us. Hell, even you reading a single WinMTR would have shown it’s not only our ISP side.

This issue started around 4 days ago. When joining any instance related, our ping world spike to 5k-10k ping world. Happens every 15 min. My brother I and are unable to play this game right now due to how bad it is. Please get this fixed as soon as possible. Our ISP is Singtel. I also noticed that many fellow Singaporeans are also experiencing this issue with different ISP.

Omg yes! I thought I was the only one! My ping is normally 174/174. But recently, the world latency will spike to crazy numbers like 174/20412. I hope they resolve this soon.

Singtel user, also having crazy latency these few days. Latency indicator reads at anywhere between 4000-20000ms. I can’t even cast spells in town. Other games, including Diablo 3, not affected by this problem at all.

Same issue here with My Republic as well. Between 4000/10000 to 5000/13000

Same here, Singtel user as well. Was working fine till yesterday, and started having huge spikes after changing shards from joining and leaving elite world quest groups yesterday. Now it’s gotten to the point where the game is virtually unplayable; ping starts at the usual 150/150 in the first few minutes upon logging in, to over 9k+ on both within minutes. This lasts for about 10 minutes, and then the game returns to normal until the next time my character experiences any form of sharding.

Same issue here. Also singtel user. Called Singtel customer service. Got firmware upgrade on router etc. but it doesn’t help.
Not sure if it’s ISP provider issue or World Warcraft server issue.

From what I could gather, only Singtel and myRepublic users are having this problem. I already sent a ticket but nothing was resolved. Should I post my pathping, traceroute and winMTR here?

This was an issue for US and EU players during BFA pre patch

It was never resolved either, however their solution and most of the SG raiders that I know of who got hit with the same thing over the weekend has been to use a VPN. Yup you gotta pay a 3rd party to be able to play.

If anyone from tech support could give us some insight as to the info you need to help on your end. I understand this might not be a situation you can resolve quickly. With the layoffs and all. And whether all those affected should just start posting their data here?

So after server reset, I went online for a bit to check how the issue is going on. For the 1st 5min it was fine, however, the ping suddenly spiked to 5k ping. Below the the WinMTR statistic during the occurrence.

It was previously affecting starhub user about a month ago and its been happening frequently. Now looks like alot of people are getting affected even from different providers. DOnt understand why this damn game doesnt do anything about it but charges us every month.

Just a bit of an update on this. We’re going to need some additional info to send up to our networking team. If possible, please gather the following in and email it over to techinfo@blizzard.com with the following in the subject line “Singapore Latency Issues - {BattleTag}” in the subject.

  • A WinMTR test ran for about 10 minutes while you’re having issues in-game. We’ll use 103.4.115.248 for the IP address
  • What ISP are you on?
  • What realm are you on?
  • What are you all seeing in terms of world and home latency compared to what you’re used to?
  • Does this occur in the open world or in instanced zones such as dungeons\reaids? Or does this occur in both?

Please email that info over and we’ll get it sent up!

OMFG… and I thought I was the only one. SingTel user. Was about to go crazy with all these crazy 5 digit world ms. The game is literally unplayable for me, it disconnects several times in a day and with such high latency, sometimes I am forced to close the game, only to return back with a black screen on the character selection page. This is honestly so frustrating for me. UGHHHHHHHHH

Seriously. What the HELL is wrong with blizzard? the game is bloody unplayable with all the lag spikes! Bloody waste of time just WAITING for my toon to start moving. Why the heck are we paying subscription for? Raid was a total bust due to HALF the team lagging!! FIX IT!!

I hope the gathered information/data is sufficient for Blizz Tech to investigate and resolve the issue as soon as possible.

same here. singaporean player here. lag spikes. omg surprised to find sg players around. been looking for friends to play with.

Whatever is causing this lag is definitely an issue with Oceanic servers. I can play on Moonguard with no noticable spikes and yet on Saurfang, the World delay is literally on unplayable level
