I’m not supporting it but Starkiller straight up pulled a Star Destroyer from the sky with one hand and didn’t even take a breath. It’s like he just grabbed a loaf of bread from the top shelf.

And Disney’s official stance is that there is no force unleashed and there was never a Starkiller, broo.
No, Starkiller exists in the Unified canon now. Rise of Skywalker had him as one of the Jedi voices. So expect a new Starkiller story that’s totally not The Force Unleashed again that you’ll pay sixty bucks for because it’s so new and not a rehash. Look! Is that Juno? No! It’s a totally different love interest! Named…Uno!
I don’t believe you.
I have not and will never see episode 9 or anything star wars ever again.
But that voice actor has played a number of roles.
You sure it’s supposed to be him, bree?

The only good thing about the new star wars movies is that they will not stand the test of time.
Probably not. I don’t think this will be treated as canon for future Star Wars movies. They’ll probably reboot back to the George Lucas material.

I have not played that game, but that’s pretty ludicrous. Although I don’t know how long that character has taken to scale to that level of power.
He’s only played four roles in Star Wars. Three were Dark Side characters. There’s only one Jedi and that’s who Rey heard. Because money.
He did it halfway through the first game.

Ok so Disney declared the force unleashed games to be simultaneously canon / non-canon.
Whatever.

To be fair, starkiller was convincingly that powerful in the story of those games, not dumbly so like Rey.
He was specificially sought out as vader’s secret apprentice before episode 4 and was the most powerful force sensitive being in the galaxy apart from sideous / yoda.
It’s a well told-story and he doesn’t just come out of no-where. He was also trained in secret by Vader from age 4-16.
Also the Star Destroyer in question had already lost engine power.
Yep, because then they can charge you full price for the game you bought ten years ago!

Something that still makes me laugh is how people say Rey isnt a Mary Sue but call Luke and Anakin, Marty Stu (male version of the term)
Sometimes i wonder if they even watched the movies at all
Just because Luke isn’t as much of a Mary Sue as Rey doesn’t excuse him of being a Mary Sue. People been calling him a boring, goodie two shoes all the back into the 90’s.

People in film school and art school and such will be studying episodes 1-6, but disneywars will die a swift death.
You’re a fool if you think The Last Jedi will have a swift death. It was critically acclaimed for many reasons, sure you can consider it’s story a mess but it’s technical levels such as Cinematography is arguably the best in the entire franchise.
Film schools will never stop acknowledging it.

Critics haven’t mattered in nearly 20 years and never will again. It’s an outdated, useless, dead profession.
Also Luke is not a Marty Stu because he makes a really messed up decision and gets his hand cut off for it, also fails to help his friends fully, and doesn’t even actually win in RotJ.
Anakin does.
But since Anakin is the messiah figure, that’s not really an issue.
Also Anakin is not a Marty Stu because he gets all 4 of his limbs chopped off and is burned alive, having his lungs thermalized, and has to live in a life support suit for 23 years because of making evil / poor decisions.
So yeah, neither Luke or Anakin could ever be called Marty Stus except by people who don’t know wtf they’re talking about.
Oh also Anakin choked out his pregnant wife.

Film schools will never stop acknowledging it.
Yes they will.
Cinematography and visuals are no longer valuable nor impressive in this day and age.
That time has come and gone, the turning point was probably that blue skin version of dances with wolves / fern gully by James Cameron.
That type of thing is no longer meaningful, nor even noteworthy.
Film schools will not be talking about TLJ in even a few years time, and you know it.
Edit: Except possibly in the negative. Ivy league schools have been using it as a lesson in how NOT to write a script. Lol.
This is all wrong but ok.
You are entitled to your opinion.
Also, I never said Anakin was a Mary Sue.
People in film school and art school and such will be studying episodes 1-6
I am not too sure, there were those that said the prequels sucked and were awful that they were bad, but I honestly believe the only reason for that is because they weren’t as good as the original trilogy.
I guess I liked the prequels but to be fair, not everyone shares political intrigue as I do, so I would suspect a lot of fans that were there for a star wars movie aren’t really there for politics and trade disputes they are there to watch good fighting evil and that’s it really. Whenever I try talk politics with some people in real life they just fall asleep, and the few that are awake are so radical in their views that they aren’t worth talking to. No moderates anywhere these days everything has to be black and white with some people. I mean don’t get me wrong, even for someone that actually doesn’t get bored by things like trade disputes, I am not saying I think the prequels were perfect at all.
In a way, I think part of the problem with all prequel series is that they sometimes do too good in taking a lot of the mystery away, I know when watching any prequel series to a franchise I like, it can be almost frustrating at times, because when in an original movie they might refer to certain characters or civilizations from the past, that really inspires your imagination to fill in the blanks, so when that mystery gets taken away, that’s not always a bad thing though.
But here is the honest truth as I see it…to me the prequels marked the beginning of the fan outrage culture. It was never before the Star Wars prequels films that did I see people hating on various franchises so viciously, that’s when it all started. Maybe that’s because it was during that period in the early 2000s when the internet slowly became more the mainstream thing.
Truthfully there was just as much outrage at how bad the prequel trilogy was compared to the sequel trilogy, albeit it’s completely different. These days the outrage that upset fans is more about a deep rooted feeling that Disney is stuffing a political agenda and ‘Woke culture’ and whatnot into the movies, lets not beat around the bush and just tell it like it is. That wasn’t what the complaints were about the prequels, I mean yeah there were people that carried on about a sloppy romance story, and some people thought that Anakin falling in love with an older woman was weird, but the political environment was a little different back then.
My honest opinion on that is in Western culture, early 2000s, I would say the right side of politics perhaps had far too much power in some areas, I mean right-wing bigotry and hatred of poor people and intolerance, while we still get that, back then it was just really bad, so it’s no surprise we got a lot of left-wing governments for so long in the West, but problem is that they dealt with a lot of those issues but soon it absolutely went too far I think in the other direction, that’s just my observation.
His not a Mary Sue
He had background knowledge of flying stuff so him being able to fly whatever that ship was called in the first movie makes sense
He only managed to survive cause multiple people including Han Solo helped him
Despite actually getting training, he can just pull a few tricks (unlike Rey who with no training uses Mind tricks and know how to use a Lightsaber) and Vader just toys with him during the fight and then cuts his arm
Then after finally training even more he becomes an actual good Jedi, and even then only defeats Vader since he was holding back and Luke started to use the Dark Side which betrays everything he beliefs, and still gets rolled by Palpatine
Rey just defeats everyone single handedly and gets all her power without training
Theres also the fact that Anakin HAD to train to get strong unlike Rey who didnt trained at all
And he still failed multiple times

Rey just defeats everyone single handedly and gets all her power without training
She’s a Palpatine…
Again, that doesnt explain anything, like i said before, being related to someone doesnt automatically make you powerful or being able to use advanced abilities without any kind of training
