I’ve got a player stalking me across multiple servers and platforms over an in game incident.
Background: WoW Classic, I cleared a DMT, walking the first customers through a priest gave me no help with a pair of revers, so I uninvited her from my instance. A few moments later I started receiving messages from another player who claimed to be her husband. The content of the messages was nasty and so I blocked them both. 2 days later playing on a different server I got a whisper telling me that i should have changed my name and he’s going to have me blacklisted across all servers. I checked my discord to find I’d been removed from a number of discords belonging to guilds I have raided with.
My concern is this is over 72 hours post me removing the spectator priest form my instance and this person is stil focused on some imagined wrongdoing and putting effort into affecting my quality of life / gameplay along with in game whispers to inform me that he is doing these things.
It’s textbook psychopath behavior, and I cannot get ahold of anyone from Blizzard regarding this issue. My concern is this that this person clearly doesn’t understand proportional response, nor does he seem able to differentiate a video game from real world.
I do have pictures of some of the in game whispers and some of the in game chats.
1st and foremost… remove the names. You will get yourself in trouble for posting names. Blizzard does not allow name shaming whatsoever. Blizzard will not accept pictures as proof, as they can be altered. They will be able to see what was said from the chat logs.
Your best course of action would be to block any of this person/person’s alts, mains or whoever. Do not engage in any type of conversation. Report them in game every single time they message you. If that does not work, then I would probably send a detailed e-mail to hacks@blizzard.com. The less communication you have with these people, the better .
