Please explain how the spy add on is not the same as map hack in any other game? PVP is rough right now and this add on makes it absurd, especially on non-balanced servers. Its nerfs stealth classes etc etc read the forums posts everyone is making the same points. BAN THE ADD ON
If they can get rid of the addon without collateral damage, then I would be all for it. Having said that, a good rogue can stealth right in front of someone and still get the opener, I think that part of this outrage is grossly over rated.
I disagree. If a player is bad, they’ll let a rogue go stealth right in front of them sure, but this is rare. Dnt see how this is a valid argument for most pvp situations. If I see a player I want to gank Im not running straight at them risking my chance to lose my opener, im approaching them from a moderatly close distance instead. By which time they’re already aware that a rogue is nearby thanks to the add on and my primary advantage of surprise is now gone
This isn’t live. If you are skulking around in stealth at the snails speed Classic gives you then you will never reach your target. If you want to argue with me about it, thats fine… but go watch any good rogue on twitch. If you see them skulking around 100 yards away from their target, they probably have 2 viewers and one of them is his mom.

lmao well if you’re stalking around org, ur def not going to be running at full speed at them out of stealth as an example. There are def times you wanna rush right on someone, but for the rest of the times running full sprint at someone will f u. Im assuming you dnt play a rogue, since you really dnt know what your talking abt bro.

Bad rogues who think stealth is part of their rotation instead of a strategic skill hate the add on, but that’s because they’re bad.

Again this doesnt make sense. The add on we’re talking about can detect stealth players from outside the games view distance, I dnt think it would make any sense to make a player stealth that far (well outside view distance) so that they can counter a cheat. almost 100% of the time by the time you get to where the enemy target was they’d have been gone about 5 min ago lmao.

lmao you gotta be trolling right? The add on shows the list of all nearby enemy players and their distance from you… including stealth classes. Can even have it shout at you specifically when theres a stealthed player nearby. just watch a stream or download the add on yourself.
You dont even have to be moving for the addon to pick you up. A horde player can be standing still and the addon will still generate the character in the list.
Umm… you seem confused, it does not show stealthed classes. It shows that someone near you used stealth.
That is a fairly huge difference. Maybe you should download the add on yourself, I tried it, it did not magically show me everyone stealthed near me.
Your response literally proves my point. “IT shows that someone near you used stealth”. so its either a stealthed class… or a night elf. In additon the add on literally shows the players class when it adds them to the detected list.

Exactly, it show distance. if the distance is close enough, then you pretty much know where they are.
