Yeah true… I just hope they give one hell of a justification on the line of Lothar and why these descendants look the way they do. Half elves… now we’ve seen everything.
To be fair, on RP servers, people been playing half elves for years now and most people don’t care.
If they’re officially recognized than it’s awesome in my book. Gives some legitimacy to those who RP them

Moonguard will be full of half elves… lots and lots of half elves who are Kul’tiran humans and Stormwind Humans and of course those Void Elf RPers who like to pretend they’re half elves thanks to the small ear option for Blood Elves as well. Now we have a lore reason… Goodie another elf.
Yeah, I am. Because I know it will die off just as quick. Like most people abandoned the man’ari Rp, but some stuck with it, like me.

The accepted theorized concept (being the missing link between Dark Trolls and Night Elves) is cool.
I think they look incredibly stupid with fur, quills, and paw-like feet, IMO.
I like nelves, I like the idea of dark trolls, but then they decided to toss some quilboar into the mix for some reason. Swing and a miss.
I don’t want 'em playable. Stop making up new sentient species and give attention to the several dozen you already have in Azeroth, Blizzard.

Trolls have fur so technically this is furry elves? Nah can’t do it! Wax that trollish elf. I can’t play a furry elf with quills. I can accept the quills, but the back hair? Me no likey.
I will go to bat on this as I have many, many times before and say trolls do not have fur because of one throwaway sentence from a 2004 post explaining why jungle trolls are blue.
Nowhere since has a jungle or forest troll been depicted with fur. Not in official art, not on official models. The nearest we come to it is the body hair on the boss in Throne of Thunder.
Look at the much more high-definition model and art of Zul’jin for Heroes of the Storm.
Or the various arts of Vol’jin. Or the fully rendered cinematic of Zekhan. No fur to be found.

I was a little irked that the “primordial troll” race mentioned by the developers didn’t appear in Dragonflight as they were meant to, but this looks interesting.
I’m dying at the fact that the male Harronir are more handsome than the male Nightborne. I’m speechless. I really hope there’s a rework incoming for the male Nightborne, because this is sad.

It reminds me of an interesting theory of a “Story Forum” Poster that actually suggested that the trolls but specialy the Zandalari could be evolve descendants of… hmmm, was it Azeroth Dinosaurs or Dragons… as they had what appeared to be scales, also their Druid form…I can’t remember very well, but it was an interesting read.
Who know maybe the “Primordial Troll” when reveled will shed some light into that.
A few hours ago I did a forum post asking if Nightborn had special CC unlockable like the other Elves. (Night Warrior eyes and Darkfallen features)
I was surprise and disappointed to notice they were lacking such cool CC of their own.
I do hope some love in the World Saga expansions…

I doubt they will resurrect Kael’thas which would be the only way for me to go back to being a blood elf fan.
Id really like it if they can be dhs. Despite it being a long shot i reallt dislike playing night elfs snd blood elfs. This would be my compromise and with the skeleton being the same as night elfs it wouldnt be hard.
The only issue is lore. You can just have them be more vicious in nature and do similar demon binding rituals similar to the dhs we know but seperate.
