From my POV making her officially mother of the Naaru beyond mere, misguided, speculation effectively makes her a pantheon overgoddess for the church of the light and the draenei, which effectively imo invites more justifications to reduce her importance to elven history.
If anything I’d expect it to have a similar effect on lore descriptions of kaldorei religion as the way Legion turned the blood knights into wannabe human paladins in every single way. I very much do not trust the devs to handle a situation that places Elune in a position of relevance to humans without attempting to push human potential even harder.

From my POV it doesn’t at all. And this is coming from a Catholic girl. 
I just don’t trust the devs or the writers with much of anything at all these days.

We are talking about the same ‘Elune’ that watched all of her supposed children get bbq’ed. The same ‘Elune’ that cried about her pet dragon more than the only people that bothered praying to the sun light stealing entity in the first place.

eternal ones are not all equal in power the winterqueen for example is the one whos power made the maw inescapable she said so her self at the end of the ardenweald leveling quests. and the jailer is said to be an eternal one and be titan plus plus in power and thats now in his weakend state.

Also, Yogg isn’t even the daughter of Cenarius. Garrosh created the eternal Tauren when Mankrik destroyed the seed of the everlasting dream wardens. If Alleria really wanted Elune to turn to Arthas as Gamon did in MoP, I think we’d have seen Thrall defect from the Alliance already.

Elune is a support type character, similar to Xe’ra, yes Xe’ra is strong, but put Illidan in front of her face and see what happen.

elune is worshiped all over the cosmos. also quick note about some of the gods and loa in the warcraft universe for instance the loa mue’zala and bwonsamdi and the other loa get more powerful the more worship they get. its likely something similar with elune .

What did you expect, the current writers destroyed everything from the original lore. There is NO LORE anymore, its al retcon and the new lore is just mush up of some weird stuff they come up combined with current cultural psyche and forced social media hypocrisies.

When have we ever known true deities to get that directly involved with such things? Even in our own religions, they don’t. It simply follows the pattern of “there’s more to the universe that we can comprehend and gods will do as they please with a different knowledge of the universe.”
