This is good news.
I don’t know there was a huge backlash when Danuser confirmed that he specifically had Sylvanas written bad from Wrathgate and how she specifically intended everything to happen.

tbf physical gods aren’t unknown in various earth mythologies and we already have physical gods with fairly godlike attributes on Azeroth, Elune was different in not being one in terms of literally existing on Azeroth as a physical being.

You realize the gods of WoW are the First Ones who specifically do not interfere with the affairs of the cosmos. That is the reason they created these Pantheons.
Elune is worshipped and still does stupid godly things. She makes people Night Warriors to wipe out the Legion, Old Gods, and whatever comes up to threaten Life. And then she sometimes goes around and has a child with a deer (Malorne).
Elune has never been indicated to be some sort of creator of all. She’s just a god of the Pantheon of Life and does weird and wacky things just like the rest. If you remove this Pantheon of Life context, all the similarities she has with others remain. She’s no different from them, nor has she ever been different.
If you really want someone to compare her to, go with Aggramar. That dude created giant powerful creatures (night warriors) to fight off spore mounds (Old Gods/Legion) and heavily influenced the development of the new races upon the planet, Orcs (similar to Night Elves).

thats odd because since warcraft 3 when she was brought in shes always been morally bankrupt its one of the reasons alot of us like her and after wrath she has had IMO one of the best character development. i guess its an opinion think.

Blizz has specifically stated that the Titans are not gods and that Elune is the only true deity we know of. In that respect, they’ve separated the two. Which is why it’s curious if they retcon it or go somewhere else with it.
Not if they make her part of one of the Pantheons after they specifically stated that the current Pantheons aren’t gods. 
She was theorized to be a creator of the Naaru, but no facts there. And she’s specifically called a true deity and was separated from the Pantheons we know.

Perhaps. I was under the impression that everyone believed she went bad after ICC.
No one knew she was confirmed to be evil until Danuser confirmed she knew about orchestrating Wrathgate.

shes evil always has been. also now with the events of shadowlands and places like maldraxis i wonder if they would see necromancy like fel magic and void isnt evil in itself but how its used.

When even Genn Greymane sets his rage aside and feels for the Forsaken, you know that Sylvanas has reached a point where it’s impossible to redeem her.

The first part was always fanon which I hated because it only satisfied a christian-influenced mentality. If we’re going to go back to fierce kal’dorei, I really do think that untying Elune from that kind of baggage also has to be part of it. She can be a goddess that towers above all known gods without having to get christian demiurge stuff heaped onto her and it’s only better for elf lore imo
Also I do think the whole “The Winter Queen isn’t a true god” is nonsense from the devs who can’t move past a christian mentality fwiw

to be fair she already was contacted by the jailer . and hes said to be morepowerful than the titans, and that is where she will go be tormented if she doesnt follow his plans. a being so powerful as him would completely change what your doing.
