[Spoiler]Judgement of Sylvanas

here’s some useful euphemisms for pooping:

  1. Drop a deuce
  2. Drop the kids off at the pool
  3. Float a trout
  4. Offload some freight
  5. See a man about a horse

to name a few

Can you answer why most Russian euphemisms involve Lobsters? What is so important about Lobsters in Russian culture? or just animals in general.

Like “Любовь зла. Полюбишь и козла. ” lol

At random: the main source of income for Russians was animal husbandry (or hunting, fishing), so animals make up a significant part of the expressions.
Shrugs. It is better to turn to a culturologist.

Yea, like when Sylvanas burned the matriarchial race alive, tortured them in the maw and obliterated their souls?
Or when she had nathanos and the jailer take control of their bodies when they raised them in Darkshore?

Why would Elune want Sylvanas to free Nathanos when the Night Elf Souls are already obliterated, what a complete nonsense

This entire storyline is based on Tyrande forgetting that Sylvanas obliterated the souls of her people after an eternity of torture and suffering which is gross

This is pretty much the only appropriate response to basically anything you post about Sylvanas’ future as well.

Tyrande is the embodiment of the Night Elven race, and an extremely marketable character in future stories. Allowing her to be sacrificed on the altar of short-term satisfaction would be a waste of the character. Killing off Tyrande or killing off her righteousness for the sake of killing off another very marketable character in Sylvanas…two respected and well-liked female characters…

Only a fool would have doubted the outcome.

Could say the same about when they erased the Night Elves from existence, killed them all off and tortured and obliterated their souls and took away / destroyed all of their zones and then forced the players to forgive their abusers.

That’s an entire race that they completely obliterated.

Oh yes, I’m sure we’ll never see anything more about the Night Elves in World of Warcraft ever again.

It’s high time we have at least one expansion without an entire zone themed after the Night Elven culture.

How are we going to see anything about Night Elves when Shadowlands obliterated them from existence?

BfA served to wipe them out and destroy their zones, then Shadowlands tortured and obliterated their souls and made sure that they can never come back.
Also forced Tyrande to forgive the one who inflicted this misery upon them

What was that Night Elven unit in the Siege of Dazaralor? The race is extinct but they can still field a century of soldiers?

I want to be done with this expansion just so Blizzard can retcon the Night Elven civilization to be flourishing by the time of the next exansion…1) to prove a point about how Blizzard handles numbers and 2) to really annoy you.

Um they already said in Exploring Kalimdor that the night elves are too few in numbers to do anything and that they can never heal.

They obliterated the souls for a reason, to indicate us that the Night Elves will never recover or heal and they outright stated it in Exploring Kalimdor

Exploring Kalimdor is written from Zekhan’s perspective right? You a good and loyal Night Elf Alliance fan are going to let a book written from the perspective of a (seemingly) illiterate troll determine the fate of the Night Elves?

Nah, there will always be enough Night Elves (and any other race) to tell the story Blizzard wants to tell. Always has been, always will be.

Nope, not when they’re near extinct and erased from the universe.

It’s always stated that the Night Elves are too few left to do anything, so there is no future for those living few night elves that also have nowhere to go.

The only hope was for the souls to be freed from the maw, but Blizzard had them obliterated out of spite.

It’s like you actually want Kaldorei to be doomed, against all logic related to practical game needs (they’re a playable race, i.e. they can’t go extinct), against all evidence of Blizzard not caring about demographics, against all evidence of how healthy previously genocided races are by now. Very perplexing.

What race had like 99% of their people wiped out, tortured and their souls destroyed?
What race was forced to just accept this and forgive those that did this to them?

Blizzard doesn’t want the Night Elves to keep existing, they most likely are fewer in numbers than high elves now and Blizzard still has the Horde hunting them down without anyone doing anything

Without a retcon, it’s over for Night Elves. And the writers won’t let them come back because they hate them so much and they never let anything positive happen to Night Elves in the past.

Where was it stated that 99% of the NE were lost?

As far as I knew the last figures we had were that roughly ~90% of the NE population lived in Teldrassil and not every NE at Teldrassil even died.

Blood Elves were explicitly stated to have lost ~90% of their population to the Scourge and even then not every High Elf joined the Blood Elves in the aftermath.

Yet the BE are doing just fine.

You know that the Night Elves in Ashenvale and Darkshore were also killed, right?

The Blood Elves also saw Arthas brought to justice and didn’t have to forgive him.

They also had somewhere to go and had the Horde helping them (the Alliance is ignoring that the Horde is still occupying Night Elf lands).
They also didn’t have their souls obliterated in wow hell and the writers didn’t hate them.

Where did you get that number from ? Actual question here, maybe I missed it.

What ? No. High Elves started off as a portion of exiled Highborne. Then they were genocided and lost 90% of their population. Then among the 10% remaining, 90% renamed themselves Blood Elves, and 10% are what we call High Elves. Quel’dorei are the “remnants of the remnants of a fallen race”. There’s absolutely no way Kaldorei are this few, they probably outnumber Quel’dorei with their military alone (since their military wasn’t killed off).

Again, no, that’s twisting the facts. The Horde signed the armistice, and that armistice seemingly allowed them to keep holdings in Ashenvale (no matter how clearly unjustified that is). The Kaldorei understandably refused to sign the armistice, they’re attacking the Horde in Ashenvale, and the Horde defends its settlements. The Alliance can’t help the Night Elves without breaking the armistice.

Oh then don’t worry, if writers think they need to do retcons to keep one of their most played races going, they’ll most gladly do retcons. They’ve been doing that for a living.

(also the soul thing is irrelevant here, we’re talking about demographics of the living race)

Sure, but the idea that there aren’t NE populations in other Alliance strongholds at this stage seems pretty far fetched.

I’d imagine that the NE are in a similar situation to the BE where overall they lost ~90% of their population. Perhaps a bit more.

They did, but my point isn’t whether or not each saw justice. Just that the BE lost a comparable portion of their population and seem to be functioning fine as a nation.

They barely received aid from the Horde. The entire initial friendship between the Forsaken and the BE stemmed from the fact that the bulk of the Horde were content just sitting idly by while the remnants of the High Elves were trying to rid their territory of the remaining Scourge. It was only Sylvanas and the Forsaken who eventually came to their aid.

The situation between the BE and the NE is relatively similar, just that at this point the NE haven’t seen the perpetrator brought to justice.

From the fact that all 3 night elf zones were wiped out and that they aren’t enough to do anything anymore.

They are basically dead as a people.

It was as of Exploring Kalimdor. There is like no night elf military to be seen anywhere.

Did you read the book? The Horde is occupying parts of Ashenvale and killing Night Elves.

Yea, they won’t do a positive retcon for a race that they hate and want gone. They keep doubling down on the Night Elves’ misery. They haven’t given them positive development at all in the past years. Only tragedy, suffering, torture and extinction.

The souls were the only thing that could’ve saved the Night Elves through a mass revival. Now that they were all obliterated, there is absolutely no hope.

That’s what Blizzard said so :woman_shrugging:

And that the Night Elves will never see the perpetrator brought to justice because through bad writing, they were forced to accept it and forgive both the Horde and Sylvanas.

The Horde is even still actively killing them in Ashenvale.

The writers also would never let anything positive happen to Night Elves, they haven’t done so in the past years and everytime the Night Elves are mentioned or featured, something horrible happens to them.
We’ve seen that with the torture and oblivion of their souls although the story could’ve very easily let us save them.
Especially with that whole renewal lie we were told.

Alright, that’s purely headcanon then.

If you didn’t notice, the Exploring Azeroth books are each giving updates on a faction, more than updates on a continent. Exploring EK gave very little news about EK Horde races, hence why Exploring Kalimdor gave very little news about Kalimdor Alliance races. The fact that we haven’t heard of the NE military by now is meaningless.

I feel like your analysis is mainly irrational, which is ok since you’re obviously a big NE fan so that’s all understandable
