[SPOILER] Is Baine key to Redemption for the Horde?

What a weak excuse to not do the right thing.

The burning of Teldrassil WAS HORRIFIC.

That does not mean every single Horde player and NPC was responsibly for it.

Did they even know what happened is an excellent excuse for not turning on your allies.

Battle for Darkshore is still going on.
The Horde is doubling down on this atrocity.

So far the races there are.
Forsaken, goblins, orcs and trolls.
Only Blood Elves and Tauren are missing as far as I have seen.

And those Horde forces there are evil, no one is disputing that.

Well there you go.
4 core races out of the 6 are evil.

ā€¦ THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF THOSE 4 RACES ARE NOT THERE.

Hot take. Horde kind of saved Azeroth by defeating Gā€™huun which means they saved Alliance by extension. Theyā€™re redeemed

Even so, itā€™s gotten to the point where itā€™s become apparent that there is something wrong with the Horde as a people, a society, and a culture. This is the consequence of how Blizzard has written them these past years.

This isnā€™t what I want. This isnā€™t what I signed up for way back in BC when I started playing. But to pretend otherwise would just cause more dissonance. Blaming it all on Sylvanas only perpetuates the issue.

I donā€™t agree with most of Lithyaā€™s stances. But in this part, I sort of do. Itā€™s the natural consequence of how Blizzard has continually written the Horde.

The Horde is like that one distant friend who is a violent drug user. Thereā€™s a good person in there somewhere, but time and time again they fall into their habit and hurt someone. Sometimes they hurt you and sometimes they hurt others. Then they sober up and swear itā€™ll never happen again.

But it does. They fall off the wagon again and again and again and someone ends up hurt each time. Thatā€™s what the Horde has been and I hate it. Putting all the blame on Sylvanas is akin to blaming it all on the drugs. Eventually you have to realize that itā€™s the person whoā€™s the problem.

I donā€™t say this because I want the Horde to be ā€œredeemedā€ or even punished. Hell, this realization is one of the main things that drove me to cancel my sub and stop playing. This is the corner Blizz has written the Horde in. And I honestly canā€™t see a way out of it.

Yeah thats the sort of excuse we would come to expect lol.

Hey we totally know we burned thousands of civilians and then started to rape the land where their ashe lay but we are totally redeemed because we stopped Ghuun.

And that writing is putting it all on Syl.

at the darkshoreā€¦there should be at least a couple of dozen of Horde soldiersā€¦from different racesā€¦
thing of this horror would have spread like wild fireā€¦which would have gotten into the racial leadersā€™ earsā€¦
even if they had doubtā€¦Saurfang was thereā€¦which they could have ask him what happenā€¦and I doubt Saurfang would lie about what happen to Teldrassilā€¦

Thatā€™s my point, the information would trickle out, but that takes time.

I donā€™t understand why a Horde would have to worry about redeeming with the alliance. What the Horde has to do is win the war.

Honestly, if the alliance had the opportunity to burn undeads on a bonfire they would do the same.

Wow that drug user analogy.
Very well said.

How many does it take to light the catapults? Say, twenty people?

Probably the same twenty who lit them, but letā€™s say there were ten extra ones who werenā€™t involved in the lighting.

And how many did that take? Iā€™ll be generous and say thatā€™s another thirty druids, although frankly I donā€™t think it would take that many.

How many were within earshot and able to even reach her between the time the order was given and the time the catapults were fired? Two hundred? Five hundred? Iā€™ll go with five hundred as the absolute most that could possibly have intervened.

So with very generous estimates of numbers, thatā€™s maybe five hundred and sixty members of the Horde that youā€™ve ā€œprovedā€ are ā€œevilā€ according to your evidence. Which is still far from the entire Horde.

You cant hate on the writing when it is convenient and then use it to absolve yourself.

Yes we know the writers like to insult our intelligence on a daily basis but we are all here to discuss the lore as we would a good book or TV show.

Blaming just sylvanas to absolve Horde as if it is completely blameless in BFA is totally disengenious.

Which iā€™m not doing, the writing is trying to push it all on Syl though.

Oh I know.
Which is incredibly stupid.
