I’m confused about what is out of context. You made the statement that anyone who picks up a weapon is considered a combatant. That means regardless of their reason, the act of arming oneself means they are no longer a civilian. You even were so bold as to say that act applies to IRL situations as well.
I questioned that logic and within 20 mins of you making that post you changed it to “well it really depends on why they armed themselves”.

When I first made that statement I think it was well understood that its when you pick up a weapon and actively fight against whatever you consider a threat.
Not the fact that some soldiers break into your house for criminal intent and you have absolutely no choice but to defend yourself in that situation.
Point of the matter is the shopkeepers flooding the streets in the name of their king to defend their city cease to be innocent civilians.
If they had stayed in their houses or shops they would have been in ZERO danger.
Cant say the same thing about Teldrassil.

I feel it’s a bit naive to think that civilians are in zero danger staying in their homes when their city is being invaded by a hostile army. They have no idea what the attackers are going to be doing.

If we Hordies would do such thing, you Allies would have too to admit Alliance is the idiot always forgiving faction and move on. I’m sorry but unless you guys start paying more than us for the subs and become an elite sub, from a realistic PoV we ALL are the same classification of costumer. And in consequence, Horde players CAN’T pay for the mistakes of the writers as much as Alliance players can’t, period.
We complained LOUD AND CLEAR since the very datamining of Before the Storm, and some like me even refuse by principle to play into this 10th rate soap opera (I have ignored and will continue to ignore the quest related to choosing Saurfang or Sylvanas… Why? Because for me choosing one or the other is to give my seal of approval to Afriasiabi et al and they certainly haven’t won it). Why should we continue with the humiliation when we are the costumers that were promised something and were delivered the opposite?

My position has always been the Players are blameless but lets not pretend there is any redemption for a fictional faction that burns women and children and then deface the land where their ashes lay.

Yes, i know. I have said many, many times that this is pointless since neither faction will ever be able to put the final nail on the other’s coffin.
For the same reason Sylvanas cant win (the alliance dies if she does, along with this cash cow), the horde cant be dismantled (even if the alliance wins, the most they’ll get is a fingerwagging from anduin- the full spiel about how friendship is magic and you shouldn’t turn ppl into roads)

I would be a fan if both factions stop existing and we focus on the races as individual factions.
The Horde is done because they are nothing but genocidal savages.
The Alliance is nothing but an idealistic organization that fails to protect anything.
