I heard my recruiters talking about it when I raised my hand in 2017, and sure enough there was no card. I saw the memes prior, its a single photo showing the front and back, but the card was a lie. I heard boots talking about it in 2018, and again in 2019 to a lesser degree. By that point it was all replaced with “tf the chair force gets their phones in boot camp?!?”
My personal gripe was “tf, you got a 10k sign on for this job? I got nothing.”
The card itself, to my knowledge, has always been an overblown lie that the older generation hangs on its younger generation (ignoring the fact that the older generation would have to have been the ones to implement the card in the first place.)
As far as taking the cowards way out, my class started with 80 and ended with about 55. Medical, mental, legal, etc were all a wide array of issues. It is what it is, the military is not for everyone.
If /spit is so bad we need to remove it. how about removing chat as people abuse others with that as well. Why don’t we remove camping other players… or pvp in general. The woke culture is attacking everything and shifting society from center to being farm more left / far left leaning.

The more salient detail, however, is that the Navy actively censor themselves. Not sure how the other branches do it, but My RDC once caught himself before he uttered the F-word to one guy he was chewing out. No, not that F-word, the other one. The four-letter one can be used all day.
And there were folks on site who you could reach out to if you ever feel you’re being “abused.” None of the males in my division ever did, although a few females did. Of course I use quotations since most of what you’re going to experience in basic training is purposeful abuse. Gotta prep these kids for the stress, after all.
But they’re more concerned with quotas than they are with actually generating capable soldiers or sailors nowadays. So a lot of folks are allowed to pass even though, realistically, they shouldn’t have been allowed to.

I remember that stupid sign that was hung with the other stupid signs like the recruits mantra. I don’t remember exactly what it said, but it was something around the lines of “Real leaders do not swear at their followers” or something like that, and I remember my favorite RDC stood in front of it every time he swore at and beat us, then he’d look at the sign, yell something about the sign, then beat us more because that sign existed. I hated that sign.
I mean if you served then you know like I do that those people always exist. I had to go see one for PRP because “melatonin can be a disqualifying factor for nuclear weapons security”, which just in turn gave me another month and a half of not doing PRP which was fine by me.
For RTC, I don’t remember anyone using those services except one guy who sad panda’d his way out. Whether it was legit or not, idk, but he used it. As far as the abuse side is concerned, idk anyone who used it, or atleast I don’t know anyone who admits to using it.
Got to prep them for the nicotine and lack of sleep tbh, the stress was easy to consume, the work nights but train on days and drill on days and come in for random bs on days while working nights was brutal.
True and based my friend. I remember Trump wanting to “Expand our military because Obdummer done cut it” while watching recruiters, who were already not meeting quotas get doubled down on. There will always be a threshold where you can get quality and quantity, but once you surpass that threshold, you lose one or the other. We chose quantity, and the average servicemember coming in may not be the standard that we want, but we let them through just because “ChInA hAs a LaRgEr MiLiTaRy ThAn wE dO” or whatever right wing rhetoric they spew now a days as a tool to politicize the military. All it does it lower our standards which is a shame.
I’m perplexed how brats running around spamming negative emotes is affected by boosts and why I should have been banned from boosting my kid’s toons because it ruined someone I never mets PvP que or heroic run. Somehow this is all tied to military intelligence and all the woke snowflakes got their way so now farmed gold is in and tokens are out. Let’s just banjo the banners. So many people have such confusion between anarchy and chaos it’s absurd. We had anarchy but people can’t behave and you know why we can’t have nice things. Don’t like it?
