They are increasing it. 7 store mounts in BfA alone compared to the 8 store mounts we got from Cataclysm until Legion.
I have made a post about this before, where RuneScape 3 had their loyalty program, and all it did was increase MTX to the point that even hairstyles and most of the armor sets became locked behind the ingame shop.
You people are so naive it’s unbelievable.
Recipe time!
Banana Bread
- 3 or 4 ripe bananas, smashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar (can easily reduce to 3/4 cup)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda (can sub powder)
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (can sub half for whole wheat flour)
- cinnamon to taste (optional)
- chipotle powder to taste (optional)
No need for a mixer for this recipe. Preheat oven to 350°. With a wooden spoon, mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flour last, mix. Pour mixture into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve. For muffins, bake 1/2 hour. For mini muffins, bake 11 minutes.
I play FF14 and am fine with MTX, so you’re actually preaching to the wrong audience.
Well add to that the same article also says it could have been a Blizzcon reward, so he is just latching on to one part of the speculation and running with it.

That transmog is on the same level of stupid as the horse armor from Oblivion. Both were paid DLC for a single set of armor. The transmog is far more expensive but you see it the entire time you have it unlike the horse armor.
They even mass reported my thread asking what the definition of a loyal player was because it shows what a stupid rhetoric they make.
You’re the one making the positive claim sunshine. “The mog was intended to be part of a quest that they scrapped” is the unproven statement.

No, but it is not even what is happening here. We have a set(which for all we know was for Blizzcon!) And repurposed for their 6 month promo. Blizzard seems intent on trying new thing with their promo and if this set was not used for a promo a new unique mount would have beem used for their 6 month promo.
Honestly, I think the amount of effort for a new mount vs a new set is about the same.

Except you can grind gold in your off time. I’m a college student in more school work than I can imagine, balancing issues in my family + managing my relationships and I STILL had time to grind out a million gold before pre-patch launched.
People who don’t want to put the effort simply won’t get it, same with Bruto. Same with that million gold spider.
Gold -> Blizzard Balance -> Transmog.
Stay on FFXIV if you like it so much my man.

Nah, the game sucks. I don’t care about the cash shop, though.
I’d be fine with more things being on the cash shop in WoW.
$15 is worth a lot less than it was in 2005. They’ve got less players, less subs, and need to make up the difference somehow.
If cash shop items are what’s needed to incentivize quality work, so be it.
And I’ll stay here, tyvm. You’re the one complaining about WoW, not me.

I logged into ESO for their Halloween even today and they had this cute little wolf puppy. I got it for free! These other games cash shops are totally getting out of hand!
I think if they don’t, they’ll fall behind the times and the MMO environment.
It’s the way it will be, and eventually they’ll probably even go F2P once enough subs bleed out. Cash shop will be the only way to keep moving forward. So either that, or it goes away.
