5-man strat was done with CCs and proper pulling. You most definitely did not need to rambo aoe which drained your mana fast

Funny how tanks hearthing to repair and running/riding back(If no lock) was a thing then. We must have really sucked eh!
When vanilla first launched nobody knew what aoe leveling/groups really were. Nearing the end of vanilla they figured it out. People realized mages were op aoe kiting beasts that synergized well with themselves.
Now with classic launching, people are obviously picking mages for faster leveling and convenience. Can you blame them? They’re very strong in every department.
Was vanilla hard? No, not really. Doesn’t matter what patch you pick it wasn’t that hard. You can die in any game, fail a mission. Classic is the same. Mistakes will happen, wiping doesn’t mean it’s hard.
I have yet to meet somebody playing classic that never played wow at some point. Almost everybody has some sort of wow experience making this 15yo game even easier.
Yes I played vanilla, a lot.

Blizzard has always nerfed content in time for the next expansion! Just saying!

Because you have no argument to discuss.
You start with a false premise (“Vanilla wow was challenging” - hint, it wasn’t) and then proceed to form your thesis around that.
You are entirely subjective and your reality is based primarily on private servers not official releases. You then try move the goal post of the arguments or just outright ignore any valid points in favour of “you just want easymode” like that’s an argument.

Just like many people vastly overestimated the difficulty of Classic I believe you overestimate the difficulty of previous patches.
If you believe 1.12 is Sunshine and Unicorns then pre-1.10 might be Sunshine and Unicorns with some cloud cover.
If you look at every version of the game prior to the next expansion, that expansions content is made easier so that people can easy mode grind to the base level of the next expansion! Classic is on the easy mode version that’s meant to make grinding to TBC easy!
Quite a few of us said precisely that. Specifically challenges like non nerfed Scholomance, early AV, etc.
Virtually nobody who wanted vanilla classic (in good faith) asked for or wanted the most milquetoast version of vanilla.

Please explain why tanks hearthing out to repair was so common then? Why did we suck so bad? I mean Classic is /faceroll so we must have really sucked if it was like this. Tanks going full red at this difficulty. WE SUCKED.

It’s so cute how you make anecdotal statements and attempt to apply them across the entire playerbase as an example to highlight your point.
In reality, yes you must have really sucked back then.
As if somehow a tank forgetting to repair before the run makes it challenging to sit there and wait for them to get back.
You know what is an actual challenge? Try solo pulling the mobs while you wait for the tank to get back.
He can’t. He doesn’t have an argument against the fact that 1.12.2 is meant to be easy so people can easy mode grind to 60 for TBC.

I mean it’s much easier for you to make statements like this than to acknowledge that what you were asking for isn’t “Official Classic from Blizzard” it is “Some version of Classic that I want, that was never official but I want it”

Uhmm, spell cleaving dungeons was always a thing. Its one of the reasons it was so hard to dungeon gear a rogue since no one wanted to take a single target dps class.

…amazingly wrecking the game imo. Luckily i have a guild that runs together. Unfortunately, for those that need to pug, if you can’t aoe farm, you won’t get picked to be on the team. We’re so inclusive!
