I think even if we could snap our fingers and restore a perfect version of vanilla people would still find wonky ways to do stuff like this because the game has been so overanalyzed. To the extent they’re doing? Maybe not.
I definitely do feel like the dungeons are easier than I remember so far. Maybe not on damage, but their health seems to tank pretty easily.

They don’t hit as hard either.
Really the only thing you can do in any version of vanilla is use a hunter to kite and slowly kill the DM Tribute final boss since you can simply kite him around that ledge without worry about him entering evade mode.
I don’t know if I agree. Elite Mobs like to hit me pretty hard.
I played back than
and yes people did AoE runs of BRD/LBRS, meanwhile 90% of the rest of the people were busy keyboard turning.
go check my account if you like opened Nov 24 2004 day after release

Your account only goes back to Aug, 2nd 2018.
People weren’t doing AoE runs of BRD at lvl 55 or so and no they weren’t doing AoE runs of LBRS pre 1.10. If you mass pulled in LBRS pre 1.10 you would die.

Has the PvP Rank Centurion, Achievement give in in 2009. So before them adding new PvP titles.
I’d say they were in there back then.
Still not finding any posts from 2004.
It’s obvious the supporters will out number the detractors very soon! We just need to keep fighting for the correct version of vanilla WoW!
All that matters is we weren’t given the correct version of vanilla WoW! We were given the 1.12.2 heavily nerfed version! Let’s keep fighting!
It’s honestly far too late to go back now. And we knew we’d be getting post Naxx patch. At least we didn’t get Pre BC patch. Though would have been funny to see feral druids actually tanking and cats mangle spamming everyone in PvP.
They’ll never get it, we just pulled 8 mobs in armory at level that would have been an instant wipe in actual classic. But we weren’t even in trouble, we weren’t overgeared or over leveled for it either. It’s a shame they did give us the nerfed version instead of the pre-nerf where the mobs had higher defensive values and more health.

I remember in RFC we pulled every mob on the ramp leading to Oggleflint and handled it ezpz at 15.

Was it challenging at the time? You bet, unless you played any other MMO that existed prior to WoW then WOW was a casuals dream. I mean just having no perma-death, or player-killing with lootable corpses was a huge gift to the casual player at the time.
The thing is though, you can’t just negate 15 years of increasing difficulty in the WoW universe then try to go back to where it began and expect a challenge. That would indicate that you, as a game player and wow patron, have not evolved at all. If that’s true there are other issues at play.

Mograine who was Lv42 compared to party lv of 38 dropped like a sack of mouldy potatoes. Went down fast and hard, then the tart came out and shredded like wet toilet paper.
Your argument only applies to patch 1.11-1.12.2 though. Patches before that required being careful and only pulling a group of maybe 4-5 mobs around your level max at a time. Being good doesn’t negate gameplay mechanics.
You speak as if there is an homogeneous “we”.
You know what “I” wanted? I classic server where my progress doesn’t get wiped out every couple of years or the mods are in collusion with gold sellers creating a completely pay-to-win environment.
At no point did I ever want a Classic server for a challenge, because it’s not challenging.
It’s better content, It’s a more engaging story line, it’s more interesting character progression and gameplay but it’s not more challenging and never was.
Right, you want easy mode and I don’t. Glad we cleared that up.
