Stop wasting my time while I’m wasting my time!
They don’t have to use cd’s to use ranged abilities and have the mobs run into my AoE. Lol. There are plenty of ways for people to safely pull extra mobs. Even proximity pulls them, then they run away.
It’s not my thread either. Lol
And what? Brick the key? You can’t kick and replace people in mythic dungeons.
If you’re talking about queued content, then yeah, vote to kick and generally the guy gets the boot and we move on with or lives. But we shouldn’t have to.
There is no vote to kick in keys. They aren’t queued content.
Idk why you’re talking about keys. Go-go-go is the standard in keys. They’re timed.
Its fun to go fast but imo its rude to assume that every player knows the routes and routines for speed running.
I think its safe to say right now with the holidays, new expac/patch cycle, and the anniversary event that there may be a large influx of new players. Its not so much to ask for to slow down or fill them in so they can enjoy the run as well.
This is just normal/TW/heroics that im talking about, dont flame me because you read this and assumed im talking about Mythics.
So you’re actively AoEing, meaning you did pull? None of this is adding up. You seem to be complaining about some weirdly niche scenario, no solution required.
You’re in agreement with the OP, but refusing to use any of the solutions being proposed, i.e. complaining just to complain.
Yes, you should have to. Blizzard isn’t your babysitter, if you have 1 bad apple out of 5 you have the tools to deal with it yourself. Curate the experience you want.
What’s the point of looking around and commiserating with other players? That’s what you are really asking IMO.
I didn’t say there was. I said kicking someone in a key bricks the key.
I also went on to elaborate about my vote to kick experience in queueable content if you bothered to read the post.
You don’t need to pull wall to wall in keys unless you’re pushing the top of the top, at which point this is a non-issue as you’d have worked this out looking ago with your premade.
That’s not an excuse to be a jerk.
Most times that person was right.
After reading this topic in the forum I say there are several types of people that insist on running through a dungeon.
First: is the person that believes they are saving tons of time by speedrunning. They actually believe this myth. They have played these same dungeons for 20 years, but think ten minutes extra is a waste of time. They like going nowhere fast.
Second: is the Showoff who thinks they will be considered a hero by others if they speedrun. But they don’t know how to do it right. Usually causing multiple wipes.
Third: is the Hijacker who is a dps and wants to be the hero by running ahead of the tank and pulling the entire dungeon down on the group. This tactic does not end well.
Forth: is the person who has no patients whatsoever. They will run ahead of the tank and pull mobs just because they can’t stand running at a normal pace. These remind us of the child in the car asking “Are we there yet?” five minutes later; "Are we there yet? three minutes later; "Are we there yet?
Fifth: Is the Griefer. This one is just trying to be the biggest jerk in the game. They run ahead of the tank pulling all the mobs, then run back to the tank just to watch everyone die. And they continue to do that until they get kicked or the group disbands. They laugh with glee knowing they are causing everyone so much unhappiness. They do it for the Luls.
Sixth: is the Nag. This is usually a dps who keeps yelling at the Tank to go faster. No matter how fast the tank is running, the Nag will keep yelling at the Tank to go faster. Of course when the Tank gets in above there head and the group wipes. It’s this same Nag that will immediately Start blaming the Tank saying the Tank is bad.
These are just a few of the types of fast runners in dungeons. Now having said that. I will also say that there are Tanks out there that actually know how to run a dungeon, at a good pace, keeping the group safe. These great tanks should be applauded. But the other types of people mentioned above are the problem.
100% of the time it’s correct. In a random group it is impossible to know what each players motivations and individual goals are; however, there is a shared, unsaid goal amongst the group: finish the dungeon.
This is goal typically comes with some ingrained preferences, that being limiting the number of deaths, and minimizing time wasted.
It follows then that the overwhelmingly correct way to do a random dungeon in WoW is to do it as quickly and safely as possible.
That’s your opinion and I will guess when you are in a dungeon group you are one of the people that charge ahead at full speed not caring about anyone else’s opinion. When you do that you have hijaked the run. Regardless.
And if you as a tank decide to pull one pack at a time without consulting the other 4 people in the group have you not done the same? Forcing the 4 other people to play at your pace.
If you join the group, ask if people wanna take it slow and the majority say no. What do you do?
You’re speaking as though there is some mystical silent majority of players who are being held hostage by the people speed running through queued content.
But the reality is that the majority of players want to do content as quickly as possible, with as little downtime as possible.
We know this because when there are tanks that pull slowly, they are unanimously voted out of dungeons.
This situation is the reason Tanks runfast through a dungeon. Well at least one of the reasons. They fear the vote to kick. So in essence they are bullied into doing the wrong thing by a small but vocal group of impatient brats.
It’s not a vocal minority friend, it’s the majority. When 4 people vote someone out because they are going to slow, the voted out party IS the minority.
The vote to kick is abused by these kiddies. When the vote to kick screen comes up, most players will click on it automatically. The kiddies know this and abuse the system. Your assertion is false.
it’s not the wrong thing. please let go of this idea that your ideas are objectively correct and everyone else just doesn’t understand.
I suggest that you do this exact thing.
LoL - like either of these things EVER happen in LFG content.
