No. Night Fae look cool so they should be on the Alliance.
If the Vampires get a rework and look pretty, then the Horde will start demanding Venthyr and the Night Fae.

The Winter Queen has always been the counterpart of the Summer Queen, and they traditionally don’t like each other.
IF any of the covenants become ARs (and I hope not because it would be complete and utter moronic drivel as to why these immortal beings would ever want to join us) they should all be neutral and all 4 can be what ever faction the player chooses.
They did it with Pandas, they should do it with this.
It would be moronic to have Alliance pledge to the Fae covenant and then have the Fae tell them to shove it and join the Horde… kind of like the convoluted reasoning behind Nightfallen joining the Horde after all the effort I put into saving those degenerate junkies during Legion.
I’d rather 0 allied races over neutral ones.

I cannot see it being anything other than four “panda” like races that can go to either faction. All four covenants are not not faction pacific so by all logic an allied race taken from them would be the same.
The factions that the AR taken from Legion also equally recognized both Horde & Alliance but there is a difference. First and foremost, you did not commit to any of them, they were simply groups to grind rep for. Also, another poster noted to me today that the divide was likely made because we were going into an Alliance vs Horde war expansion.
I actually hope they finish the AR’s with the worgen and forsaken AR’s. Then they can give us neutral covenant AR’s if they want.
Yeah, I know they said they won’t do neutral races again but the 4 covenants make sense. Well, at least to me. Plus they seem to have more customizations then normal NPC’s from what I’ve seen.
I would rather have the San’Layn than the Venthyr. The Venthyr’s look pretty ugly. You can hardly tell the difference between the male and female models.

Whichever faction gets vampires, it won’t have me.
I do NOT want to play the same faction as all the people who want to play vampires.

I’m fairly certain they said it at Blizzcon. Plus, the after reasoning still applies. These are people that live in the realm of death. Why do they care about something that’s in another dimension? This is like the Kalu’ak of Northrend going to fight in Outland. Why? They gain nothing from this but dead bodies.
I think venthyr on alliance make sense.
Everyone obviously just wants to play edge lord and beast characters judging by the hordes popularity and subsequent skewing of faction balance.
Blizz sees it as a way to balance the factions.

Since both factions can align with any of the covenants I would guess that they’d be like pandas and can choose their faction.

errr vamps for alliance only if they look like san’layn but can wear that cool venthyr gear and have kael’thas as racial leader. kael’s a cutie.
i’m not a fan of hairy legged draenei. but the cute butterfly fae, i can handle that.

People on the Horde have been asking for San’layn though. The Alliance killed san’layn during their war campaign for seeking to ally with the Horde. I doubt San’layn would join the same faction that slaughtered them for trying to survive (albeit by joining the Horde, which also makes San’layn enemy to the Alliance.) Also, Kael’thas would never join the Alliance, especially when his people, who still revere the prince he was not the man madness made him, side with the Horde.
I agree with you on the cute butterfly fae, though. I really like them.
As much as alliance needs a good race, I just don’t see necro / vampires going alliance.
I can absolutely see the blue boys and fauns going alliance though. They seem more in line with the passive / peaceful / care bear MO.
That being said, I think the fauns look awesome. Not anywhere near as good as Vulpera, but… you can’t set perfection as a standard.
