So....she will return on the Midnight expansion, right?

Wrong, I had those statements published in a professional journal and peer-reviewed by relevant experts in the field; as it stands, my post represents the prevailing consensus regarding the objective reality of the Sylvanas situation, and all other views to the contrary are crackpots and/or intentional misinformation/disinformation, and will be reported to the FBI.

Trust the science.

anduins journey is a b plot for the next three expansions

Stinky errand-runner of the Maw you mean. Sentenced to forever pull souls out of the toilet of the afterlife. But she’s used to living in a sewer (and smelling like one) so it’s not that bad a punishment actually.

TIL Don’t Stop Believing is about a small town girl (Sylvanas) and a city boy (“born and raised in South Stormwind”)

That pretty much sums up the main reason for Sylvie’s fans.

Im looking forward to her return. I preferred her scheming ways, staying in the shadows. She has one of the most interesting backstories and her rise to power isn’t based on lineage or typical succession, but a pretty wild path from life to death.

She had a narrative part in BFA, but I think the shadowlands story didn’t fit her character…

I’ll also add, one of the things I enjoy of WoW is the familiarity. I like having some form of entertainment I can return to that is relatively consistent narratively. Characters will come and go, and so will gameplay hooks, gameplay mechanics. And I’m hip that not everyone will pick what I’m dropping, but, having big name characters remain in the story to some part feels good to me.

Maybe you were slurping from the body parts of dead foes, that is certainly something one of Rommath’s followers would do. The arcane hunger drives elves to commit such vile atrocities, in truth indistinguishable from the Lich King’s necromancy. It’s unfortunate you don’t share his well-founded suspicion of Sylvanas, which was the only time he was ever right.

I love how some people just hate on sylvanas and hated that she has gotten a redemption arc and that she is decent again. But there are some that will label the story bad because they didn’t kill her off and so by default to them is that the story sucks automatically. It’s kind of silly and sad really being that self-absorbed. When sylvanas is a popular character and to kill her off just so to make those who like her angry is just pure selfishness.

She use to be one of my most favourite written characters in the entire game … But jeeze, how they butchered that writing.

Sure she was always dark, devious and perhaps not entirely to be trusted, however she was originally portrayed to have a sympathy for all those twisted into undeath against their will like herself – and overtime appeared to eventually show some decorum of loyalty to the Horde.

… Man, I HATE & utterly loathe how they keep villain batting the Horde & their leaders, I’m so over it.

Y’all regrowing the world tree, then don’t understand why sylvanas is coming back?

I wouldn’t mind her showing up to assist or be some sort of character someone comes to talk to (similar to how Anduin went to her for advice) but I don’t want her to play a major role. For instance, her sisters seeking her out to talk or even then Sylvanas sacrificing herself to save one of them.

I feel like Shadowlands and her book finalized her story as shotty and messy as it was.

And let’s be honest the whole “Avengers Endgame” scene where a bunch of characters just showed up felt incredibly forced and made little to no sense to the story, especially in comparison to other events that felt far more dire than another tree burning down. So if they put her in, they need to make sense of it. Because even Ysera coming back makes the Shadowlands more confusing, and her purpose feel pointless.

My LFD paladin sure cut off heads, ears, raptor eyes, hearts etc in my career across varios expansions. We all have a bloody history. Unless you leveled to 70 gathering herbs…

Don’t try to distract us from the fact you just admitted to mana-slurping from the dead entrails of your enemies. We all heard you.

What’s wrong with that?

I want them to do something interesting with Rexxar. He appeared in multiple expansions but always as a background character. Blizz continues to center their stories around Tyrande, Thrall, Jaina, Anduin. Other characters exist, just a thought.

It’s an atrocious way to write video game stories. Many characters were completely undeveloped or just forgotten, and then they suddenly appeared out of nowhere because reasons.

Probably will, or they will do some silly simping fan service quest to visit her. Given how hard they are leaning on the female leads in the game returning her isn’t a stretch, I mean she only had thousands if not millions (or billions/gazillions from across the cosmos) of souls to free from the Maw - that’s like 2, maybe 3 weekends of hobby hours work to finish.

Victory for Sylvanas!

Looking forward to her return. Hopefully, she will dispatch Calia.

Really hope she never makes a comeback. Sylvannas and the Jailer did irreparable damage to WoW’s lore.

She’s definitely coming back in mid.

Illidan will most definitely come back in TLT
