I had this same bug back in May or June and gave up on it. Blizzard has had at least 4 months to fix it. Still not able to do this quest.

I’ve read that one needs to have opened Mechagon dailies and completed the Mechagon threat first for this quest to work. Have already done both and the quest is still bugged.

This exactly. I’ve gotten my hopes up too high for this, id have grinded the rep if id have know this

I’m having this same issue too, disappointing, the only thing I really wanted from the prepatch was to unlock mechagnomes and start a new character

Problem still is going strong. Fix the quest blizz. I know you got them tech’s on call, put my 15 a month to use and fix your game.
