Getting close to 2 years later and a new expansion on the horizon and Blizz still hasn’t said anything beyond this original post to my knowledge

At this rate, it’s likely the game will shut down permanently before the WoD crafted appearances become obtainable again.

I would have expected, with the introduction of ‘Relic of the Past’ optional crafting reagents, the appearances could have just been tied to these at the highest levels… not much reason not to have since the other upgrade items were not only removed from crafting but made useless greys… now I’ve had to give up on several sets because of a desired weapon, belt, etc. that were made impossible to collect… after being promised they’d return. I would say this is as disappointing as the Brutosaur leaving, but honestly I’m still very upset in Blizz for giving bot cheaters a free mount none of us can get anymore and ruining the economy to insure we couldn’t.

We already have plans to reintroduce all of the transmogs in a future patch. So they’ll only be unobtainable temporarily.
