There won’t ever be updates on this. They’re never making these appearances obtainable again, unless “temporarily unobtainable” means that they will be Twitch Prime rewards.
That said, they need to make the appearances obtainable again, preferably not as time-limited Twitch Prime rewards.
The joke is that no update for 2 years completely shreds “We know we need to communicate better”, and then they wonder why we never believe them when they tell us they’ll do better. They’re intentionally ignoring this by not responding to the numerous direct replies and quotes made to the blue post.

Easy win in two categories at once, as Trial was also neglected this year.
I don’t understand why they neglect the Trial so often. They have dozens of unreleased set colors in the game files.
I’m still baffled that something (what was even wrong?) got so screwed up to the point of these mats being made defunct in the first place. Like, that’s just really bad development to totally, and completely have to remove the profession function like that. But even still, if the destruction of the mats was totally unavoidable, there are about half a dozen ways they could have kept the appearances around with some sort of vendor, and still use equivalent mats, etc. Or they could have simply made entirely new patterns.
Shadowlands shouldn’t have launched without some sort of solution in place. It’s not that complicated of an problem.
I honestly sometimes feel like it’s because it’s not content concerning the 3 pillars, so it’s only going to get attention when a Dev or two actually give 2 ****s.

Not that garrison gold nets you a ton of gold in comparison to the new craftable gear, but I agree with you. I think this is just a move to make garrison totally obsolete.
