This may come as an abject shock to you, but Blizzard’s team isn’t composed of five men. They can do multiple things at once.
It’s not that hard to make some crafted items available again. It’s not gonna cost you a raid tier. And if it does, maybe they should be fixing that instead of working on Dragonflight.

There’s probably some coding problems that throws the whole system off when they tried to re add it and now trying to find another way to do so

Somehow I get the feeling the devs have a mentality where adding a vendor with recipes will do exactly that.

It wouldn’t even have to be a recipe.
Copypaste the code for a cosmetic set and replace all instances of the item ID’s that cosmetic set includes with the WoD item ID… then put them in the garrison vendors for flavor and good to go.
Not all that hard to do I’m sure, as this is almost certainly the process they go through for every cosmetic set they add.

This could be a hotfix like the cosmic flux item that provides materials for a Legendary or the new items that you can exchange for vault coins, Devs should be more proactive with some small issues, instead this philosophy around a future patch just creates a bad image, IMO

They already have like 4 patches to implement this since post and Blizzard response are from 2020 , so we won’t know “future patch” is a good way to just avoid this issue for a while.

It’s nearly two years later…
They’re armor pieces that already exist in the coding. Put them on a vendor. Are you telling me that pieces of gear already in the game can’t be on a vendor?

Hi all, where do you get the old gilnaen starter gear? I already got a bunch of these before they went away (Thanks Clark!) but I was wondering if my friend could get these for one of their characters on a different server. We really don’t want to trade on one server and server change to their RP server if there is another option.
Or generic upgrade kits could be added to WoD crafting to make and sell to someone who wanted the upgrade.
There are a lot of pretty simple ways it could be handled. Or maybe “could have been” fits better.
