What I don’t understand is how you can say flying is bad for the game…
Unless you forgot, they were planning on getting rid of flying in wod, but massive player backlash and quitting caused them to reconsider.
The majority of the players like flying, and it was seemingly fine during the two expansions that had the largest player base. Probably because blizzard wasn’t focused on making Activision happy.
so for the normal person it might take a month
but yeah with world quests m+0 and mythic plus runs + gear sharing i cant emphasize how important it is to run with people willing to give you gear they dont need. becayse of personal loot it feels like alot less loot is dropping but in reality it is about the same amount of loot that has dropped since classic actually id say loot has only become more accesable
Hmm I am retired Air Force so get a lot of play time. Especially during winter. I hate the cold. Sorry but the current level of Rng just will not let you do it in a week, even playing 16 hours a day. That and with new residium people are not giving away their loot. Especially with how it seems Blizz closet nerfed the drop rate.
i can get to 340 in a night …
350-360 in 1-2 days 360-370 in the rest of the week …
but i usually make runs and tell people i have a 1k io main and im gearing an alt and people are more than willing to toss me gear.
world quests /warfront and a full raid clear of heroic normal and lfr in one week
i do my +10 and i have enough for 355- 370 azerite pieces.
It would be the opposite for that example.
If they brought back vendor gear it would take longer to gear up.
You talking about getting an item “13 times” says everything you need to say.
You get gear extremely quick, such that you have the luxury of getting duplicates.
That wouldn’t happen if they had the badge system.
It would take weeks just to get one item.
That’s another reason why I’m surprised to see people who don’t engage in progression content comment on ways gear should be acquired.
You will never get badge gear AND the current systems, so that means 90 percent of the gear the OP is wearing would be gone.
With as little effort as they put into end game progression, they probably wouldn’t even have any badges in the first place, because if they DID do a system like this it would end up encouraging M+ and heroic+ raiding.
I’d be fine with this, but please just realize it is not in any way related to the way systems worked 10 years ago.
That stuff was there PURELY because they didn’t know how to create a good catch up, and now they have more catch ups than they have progression systems.
Its not needed, and your example just further demonstrates this embarrassment of riches.
Nah, because if you consider that heroic mode raiding is the equivalent of Cata normal, you would be geared up for heroic in a reasonable time.
That stuff was there PURELY because they didn’t know how to create a good catch up, and now they have more catch ups than they have progression systems.
There is no catch-up now, not with all the RNG.
Look you think my gear is somehow decent, but it’s really not, see, basically if this was Dragon Soul Cata, I would be fully normal geared by this time (the equivalent to heroic geared now), now I am NOT heroic geared.
Too many difficulty levels has hurt the game I think.
lol oh wait i got another bracer I dont need, Oh wait i got another boot I dont need. What do I need? hmm trinkets and rings. Hmm four months later, no trinket or ring upgrade lol.
No, the system really is not related at all. This is completely different, both in the way you acquire them, and the purpose of them.
You need to look into why it was added in the first place. Seems like a lot of people didn’t understand how impactful azerite gear was and how poor of a chance it was from M+ cache.
Again, that is only happening because you have an embarrassment of riches. You get so much gear you have the luxury of getting duplicates.
Do you guys really not see that?
You want that much gear, AND to prevent getting duplicates?
That’s just selfish, no?
This “system” they have in currently model doesn’t “encourage” anything but burn out which in turns leads to more players dropping their sub until the next catch up is put in place.
There is zero reason to play Legion or BfA from start to finish.
Well duplicates wasn’t a problem in the past, because you would just vendor trash them but would have valor points to spend on a decent piece of gear that wasn’t a duplicate.
