Phasing is story oriented only. As per blizzard. Thus once your done with it it doesn’t effect you.

That sounds like a phasing issue not a sharding issue. And yes phasing really sucks for nodes.
Phasing is story only per blizzard and once you’ve unlocked that phase it’s done.

Yeah… except it’s not. It’s often tied to quest lines in weird ways. If you can walk back and forth over a specific line and see the same things appearing and disappearing it’s phasing.

Okay, so you’re going with you’ve found a magical sharding area on the ground that can teleport you between shards by moving a couple steps.

Oh and don’t forget tg at sharding effects the amount of resources in the world and the economy. Two more reasons for limited use at launch only.

Perhaps you could explain why on at least 4 dozen occasions I was in combat with an MOP rare world boss and suddenly found myself all alone and no longer in combat. Seconds later, I see the world boss corpse appear in front of me, but I am unable to loot it, despite having been in combat with that rare world boss just seconds earlier.
As I said, this has happened to me at least 4 dozen times.
Please explain that, if it was not due to sharding.

while its true that phase lines do exist, thats not sharding.

Not really if it used for population control it’s the same ration of resources per people gathering them.
Now in cases where you have cross realm shards, yes this is an issue. But since shards in classic won’t be cross realm>
I dont care either way. Either its sharding in starter zones only like they said, in which case I’ll be out of those zones in the first day and won’t care beyond that.
Or there’s no sharding and its a clustertruck and I fight my way through the mob to get my book for my imp quest, and beat these scrubs to tagging Garrick Padfoot so I can finish the last quest of the starter zone and GTFO and away from the mob and I STILL won’t care beyond day 1.
This is the most “first world problems” nonsense ever. It doesn’t freaking matter, but in this era people will always find the most insignificant things to whine about. I reckon the people that are seriously bothered by this won’t even make it to 60 if this is all it takes to trigger you.
Matcauthon thinks that sharding happens when you cross magical sharding lines in the sand and snow. And when you move back across the line, you go back to your other shard. It’s like the closet in Narnia or something.

There are some very weird bugs with phasing where you can see things in other phases. Phasing is definitely pure cancer.
in that situation its a bug unless you joined a group that brought you out of shard.
