Some form of Sharding

I’ll grudgingly support it at launch. Beyond that no.

I’ll tell you my experience just from earlier today. I was questing a bit and the number of times ore disappeared as I was mining it was infuriating. The first time that happens in Classic I’m going to get extremely annoyed. Immediately I’ll be pulled out of the immersive experience. I’m not part of a world…I’m just part of some shard. Who knows what could be going on all around me?

That’s the exact thing that killed my hype in the demo. I was watching a pvp tournament on one character, logged off, switched to a different one who was at the exact same spot and instead of a hundred people gathered around there was no one. That has NO place in Classic. Quite frankly, even for launch. There has to be another way. I’m trying to tolerate it if only for launch, but these forums have convinced me of what I already suspected: once sharding gets introduced, the players will demand it stay around.

Show me where Blizzard said that?

If you are going to link that video, I suggest you go back and watch it and listen VERY carefully to what Ion actually says, not what you want to hear. If you are going to link Lore’s post, I suggest you go back and read it very carefully to see what Lore really says ( or doesn’t say) and not what you want to see.

I have a feeling, they’re going to keep using it because it works, for them. I’m just happy to even get a Clasdic option.

I’m not talking about at launch. I’m talking about after launch.
I’m talking 10 to 60 and anything outside of a very brief window at launch of 2 weeks MAXIMUM. No sharding.

I don’t care if it’s a holiday event.
No.
I don’t care if it’s AQ. NO.

And this right here proves you don’t even know what you’re talking about. The ore disappeared because someone else tagged it and it has a 30 second window before it disappears.

All you are doing is showing your support for sharding and your desire for the convenience of reduced competition they provide, even though you claim to be against sharding.

And that’s what I don’t want. If they keep using it they have broken there promise. Again. And then they will bleed subs.

I’ll play it by ear, not being able to participate in events at all due to server issues is far worse. And yes that was a very real issue in vanilla(looking at you AQ)

I’ve literally stood 20 yards from nodes for 3 minutes and no one tags it, walk up and poof it disappears.

Very ironic coming from the person who told me not to hear what I want to hear. You’re guilty of your own projection.

I don’t care. Anti mmo. Anti classic. Anti community. No sharding.

We’ll see, but I’m predicting they will. No proof, just a gut feeling. It’s they’re favorite feature, so they like to gloat.

And they would hang themselves by using it. Like Diablo immortal level bullcrap.

That’s not sharding, that’s something weird going on with the way nodes spawn now, likely because of multi tap nodes.

How do you know it’s not sharding? How can you say for sure it’s tied to multitap.

I had an experience similar to the one Mogar had.

Your response tells me you have no clue what really happened.

Tell me why that ore that disappeared magically reappeared when I backed away and then disappeared when I approached it again. If I back away, the resources magically appeared on my minimap, but it disappeared every time I approached it.

I guess it was just respawning and someone kept tapping it when it respawned and it despawned in the few seconds it took to take those few steps back toward it before it disappeared once again. Then it magically respawned just a few seconds later when I took those steps backwards.

Imagine that A resource spawned, was tapped and despawned all in the span of less than 10 seconds. Then less than 10 seconds later that whole process repeated itself.

These guys actually think all their nodes are disappearing because Blizzard is tossing them around shards like a Frisbee, ROFL.

So you think sharding and phasing are the same thing? ROFL. You’re clueless, HAHAH.

When we see the node then don’t, then move away it’s there again. What do you call that?
