yes because to them its not their product. its their past product, that has fragmentized from their original plan, and that they wish to subvert and subdue. its really not that complicated at all.
nothing toxic about calling other players toxic when they directly accuse you of being on drugs and needing psychological help.
I compare it to the “I just left my significant other “ tik Tok videos my fiancé is so fond of. Attention even if on the internet is a form of attention. Sad really
I don’t care what happens to my characters when I stop playing a game. I wouldn’t care if my retail characters were deleted. I quit the game and I’m not going back. I’ve personally deleted dozens of characters I created in Morrowind, Baulder’s Gate etc. when I finished playing those games. I won’t play Classic past MoP and after that I don’t care what happens to those characters
you’re here ranting about conspiracies on the level of the MyPillow guy and have done nothing but snap back at people who don’t agree with you. that’s grade A mental issues that could do with professional help
if being told that is offensive to you then that’s only more proof of that fact
In reality Blizzard kinda owes games workshop a commission check for Warcraft, Warcraft2, warcraft3, World of Warcraft and expansions and Starcraft 1&2.
All of theses are painfully obvious warhammer ripoffs.
I’d even say they also owe 3D realms, iD software and whoever made TF2 a commission check for Overwatch.
Let’s not stop there, they also owe magic the gathering on hearthstone, and Pokémon for the pet battles in WoW.
Blizzard kinda lacks in creativity and originality.
its not a conspiracy that blizzard is adding paid level boosts and store mounts to tbc classic. whether or not that equates to blizzard intentionally sabotaging its classic version of its game, the version that they specifically did not want any part of as recently as 2016, is up for you to decide. but i think its fair to say that what is going on is apparent and what is going on is blizzard knows what works and doesnt work, for the most part, and what works at making money is store mounts and level boosts, and they couldnt care less about long term viability or player feedback.
honestly its tiring to have to explain why i reply to people on these forums. just think of it as like, when someone talks to me, i listen, and say what comes to my mind.
TBF, I’m pretty sure they originally tried to get licensing for Warhammer and when they couldn’t it evolved into Warcraft (even the name pays homage to Warhammer)
Oh I know, the employees were paid for their time. Was only pointing out the IP is really property of games workshop if any one has the right to complain about IP theft.
Certainly isn’t blizzard with exception of diablo and they likely borrowed that also
some of the most popular long running games are free to play mobile and online PC games that run on microtransactions
if it means dealing with people like you, I wouldn’t respond much to the forums either. just because they’re not responding to you doesn’t mean they don’t see complaints
evidently you don’t spend very long actually considering your words, then
youre the one who thinks blizzard is adding paid level boosts and store mounts into tbc because it will be good for the game. but really is there even free will? is it really me choosing my words? or is all of this predetermined, and we are all just carrying out this timeline of events?
I’m not really sure I subscribe to the conspiracy theory that Blizzard is intentionally ruining tbc to funnel people back into retail.
However, their business model has long-since been one of “release shiny new content” (which goes stale very quickly, causing a lul in game subscriptions/cash shop purchases/revenue generation)
It does not surprise me that they are hammering out TBC in a rather specific timeframe to coincide with their next retail patch, they are trying to keep people interested. They are trying to juggle the hype for long enough to get to “that next thing.”
They are content with making updates to the TBC game that would incur this “lul” in business/revenue because it is what they know, it is what their current business model follows, and like-it-or-not this business model has generated them a lot of money. To me it seems like the classic project is becoming an extension of this business ideal because it is convenient for them and it fits their current business model.
