Some Changes: It's no accident

Yup, it was the start of the RNG. Even before 6.2 the versa trinkets were RNG drops only, and had to farm them and it suuuuuuucked! Just that in 6.2 they made ya farm the rest of the versa and it sucked even worse.

BFA was truly awful in every way.

MoP was probably the only time I enjoyed arena honestly.

How many sub-based MMOs do you know that have ever even come close to 10+ million subs?

You act like WoW has had some massive fall from grace but 2-4 million active subscriptions is still quite successful. Especially for a 17 year old game

MoP was basically TBC seasons 1&2 for 3 seasons of some really fun PvP. (Seasons 13,14&15)

Without mediocre tbc classes :stuck_out_tongue: (i kid, kinda)

Well, TBC isn’t bad, actually the classes are really fun just that until you really get a handle on em they seem bad, but really they are quite good, just a different style of play

I just had a lot of fun with mop classes, it’s probably my favorite expansion haha

what are you talking about? why are you writing me these god awful essays?
all im asking is what made you come to the conclusion that

your original claim was that

in response to me saying

when you were acting like you couldnt grasp that there might be a possibility that blizzard wants their retail version of their game to succeed more than their classic version of their game. its not like before 2019 they were adamantly against any form of legacy servers or anything…

remember that was 2016, just 5 years ago. 3 years before classic vanilla launched.

A cow after my own heart

God I hope they decide to go at least as far as Pandaria with their Classic servers. That expansion was my jam

Lol if you look at there earnings… the shop and tokens are there primary source of income… most classic players that I know farm gold on retail to pay for there subs.

Because they’re not?

They did market research as to what makes the most money while affecting the least people.

The balance was found at the prices they given for the mounts and boosts.

Those players are worth even more to blizzard than I am then.

That’s quite the cynical take. Why would they intentionally sabotage their Classic games if they want people to go back to Retail, when they could instead just…not make the Classic games?

source? abc

MoP was shockingly well done and easily the most underrated expansion. The PvP was Vanilla/ TBC good (world)
BG’s were poppin; Arena was populated, the PvE was excellent the world had actual content, questing was decent and then classes were fun.
It wasn’t flawless but it was fun.

Ignoring the panda theme it was really really good

this is hilarious.

Because that is what every company does? They don’t just pull numbers out of their arses.

It is very specific. You literally said, “if you don’t count the weapons, there are no weapons.” Got any more brain busters?

It’s too easy not to. For almost no development, people will pay to play classic versions that have the exact same things they are complaining about in retail.

It’s such a shame so many people just turned their noses up at it because “lol kungfu panda”

Nevermind that Pandaren were in Warcraft 3 long before the conceptualization kungfu panda…also nevermind that the kungfu panda movies are actually unironically good…

if blizzard doesnt keep their own servers up, the market will flock to other providers. its that simple. why are these basic concepts of marketing and economics so far out of reach for the world of warcraft playerbase?
