Correct me if I’m wrong but with SOM characters you won’t be able to take them to wrath classic if I’m right.

Just add on past the old game. Changing anything p1-6 is still the same old game. People aren’t gonna be swept off their feet if you move hogger to westfall instead

They need to let us know weather we will be able to transfer out characters to TBC/WOTLK Classic when SOM is over.

Very well said, I really have no idea what the heck Blizzard was thinking with releasing SoM when they did. I guess it’s just pretty loud proof that they do not understand their customer base anymore.
Not only was SoM a horrible idea (b/c Classic is not D3 and seasonal formats do not belong in an MMO where people invest hundreds upon hundreds of hours in a single character) but it torpedoed TBC-C by dividing the player base and taught Blizzard the insane lesson not to preserve a single TBC server.
I now have zero motivation to play WotLK-C. I do not want to invest myself like I did in TBC because I no longer trust Blizzard to preserve my character. Either I’ll be forced to Cata or maybe they’ll shut every single server down and start over with Classic again. I really wouldn’t put it past them at this point.
Either way, TBC-C is looking like where my WoW journey ends at long last.

I hope they bring some of the changes they experimented with to Classicnin general. The dungeon farm/boost nerfs were a great idea. We need more of that.
Yes, Blizzard released SoM too soon. The correct date would be after WotLK classic was over.
And I feel bad for saying that because every single change they did to classic to create SoM were awesome. Specially removing world buffs, but not only that.
There is also the “thief” debuff, the mechanics that keep mages from soloing trash mobs, the hardcore community… SoM is a masterpiece.

I don’t think SoM was a great idea, or tried at the right time either.
At least it’s good to see that Blizzard is capable of testing new ideas.

SoM was a blast for my friends and I.
We all leveled SoI toons together. We stopped in our 50s, as the 7 we started with, we had 2 left. Best death was someone drowning at 52
Gonna do it again next season, we’ve all got our new classes chosen

I’m still very interested in Classic Era - just not in SoM. Personally, I just want to play Classic WoW in a Fresh server - w/o having to finish my character 1 year and the realm disappear, that’s all.
