It was an exploit and if blizzard does not remove the honor they they are sending a very clear message to exploit early, exploit often.

The only way to have not “exploited” the situation would have been for players to not play.

Playing the game is not an exploit.

Eh, not really. Sometimes people are in the right time and the right place. It smacks of tall poppy syndrome to claim it’s unfair - or indeed, exploitative - that somebody got benefit which you didn’t because of luck of the draw.

Objectively speaking, every user who “missed out” is no better or worse off for having done so. They are just now comparing themselves to a new reference point (the players who were online) and feeling resentful.

No one is stupid enough to spend it on level 60 gear. Everyone has stocked up so they can buy a full set of 70 resilience gear the day season 1 starts

Do we have confirmation that honor isn’t going to be wiped when season 1 starts? Because that’s what I assume they’re going to do, but if they aren’t then that is pretty scummy

Sounds like a lot of baseless doomsaying to me. The natural option in my mind is to wipe it, so unless Blizzard clarifies otherwise that’s what I assume they plan to do

Yeah I could see it.
I was on for like an hour, irl kicked in etc, and was getting about 1.5-1.8k honor every 5-6 minutes.
So a full hour would have been like 16k honor easily.

People hit max honor on multiple characters. If Blizzard doesn’t wipe honor on June 1, they will be several days to weeks ahead everyone in Season 1, and able to create a substantial gap on the ladders.

By your logic every battleground from first Alpha to prepatch launch was exploitive behavior you clown. The fact they “reacted” with the first impulse they did only made sure there was no clean solution. The best they can hope now is restore honor to 10 and dump marks and honor going into BC, but they will likely do as little as possible because every action only makes it more obvious how bad they screwed up.

I’ve spent ~6-8 hours every day SINCE the revert grinding honor. If they wipe honor I’ve spent all week farming I’ll be freakin’ livid, are you kidding me? if they were going to wipe honor they needed to do it Wednesday morning when the bug was first found. If they wipe honor on June 1st I’ve wasted an entire week playing BGs now… and without that “bug”
