Yes… But honor is shareable. So stop saying honor. I don’t need to do it on my fresh toon. I can show up to my first EBG random in full honor gear.
Also, don’t bring up comp stomp. That doesn’t count.

So that still leaves us with cosmetics from marks of honor, achievements that can only be done in EBGs, and honor ranks as rewards?
Yet before premades became rampant randoms where much more populated. Sure, player numbers have gone down, but sync exploiters have made it so much worse.
What I’m suggesting, is that the premades haven’t increased (to the extent we are experiencing). The legitimate Randoms have decreased, increasing the percentage of teams that are premade.
Only one of those is exclusive to the EBG and doesn’t even require it to be random.
Edit: I like Randoms. Like, I genuinely like the content, but I’m strange. I liked Torghast. Most people only did choreghast because they had to. People dont feel like they have to do Random Battle Grounds. The content isn’t enjoyable for enough people (because of the weakness of the format without communication and coordination tools) and the rewards aren’t good enough to compel them. Even achievements only require someone to earn it once.
if blizzard decided to do something about syncers, 1000s of ebg players would come back to the game i bet.
1000s is kind of small, so I won’t take that bet. But I’d wager your sub for a year that if they do something about Syncers (and only that… Not just that as a part of some kind of random BG overhaul) it will still leave random BGs unpopular and it will increase queue times.
They will prob stay low pop for a while. But people will come back specially if blizzard starts actually caring about the game. The sync “premades” are causing problem and are simply helping to kill the bracket. The game would be healthier without there type anyways.
That doesn’t count.
And why not? Part of the reason sync “premades” have become a huge problem is because blizzard does not care about pvp.
Korrak’s Revenge would have been infinitely more fun without the premade groups, especially considering the amount of quests for the anniversary.
Old school AV without lopsided fights? Queue times would have been instant
Because if Blizzard stated caring about game design and not monetization, they would address the other issues with the game mode. With game population. With faction balance. Yeah… They could fix it if that were the case. That’s not the same as just getting rid of premades and thinking that getting rid of a portion of the random BG players so large that it’s ruining the game for everyone else, is going to make it better.
Getting rid of the people chasing people away from the game mode that’s already struggling is good in the long run. It’s not even the fact that there “so large” because they really aren’t. They are just people that do nothing else and have a large amount of times on their hands. Just because they are loud does not mean they are the majority. You also have to keep in mind it’s likely that there are people that are part of these communities that see it as the only way to “have fun” in the mode anymore so they join because it’s the only way to win.
They’ve caused irreparable damage, no doubt, and letting them continue ruining the game isn’t the answer. If these groups won’t play without sync queue premades, they need to cut the bad fruit and make that sacrifice.
They might… If Blizzard fixes the game mode.
BGs weren’t designed to play second fiddle to Arenas. They weren’t designed to play third, fourth, fifth to every pvp mode added since. Now you have solo shuffle. Brawl. Blitz. You’ve got all these modes that are just as easy to queue for as BGs.
If the mode is attractive to premades and not to anyone else, just getting rid of the people for whom the mode is most attractive isn’t the solution. They need to make the mode more attractive. It’s delulu to pretend that the premades are the biggest problem with the game mode.
if the mode is attractive to premades and not to anyone else
It’s attractive to solo players. That’s why we’re here
considering there is usually only one game going on after 10 pm pst even on a weekend with 40 min queues, a 1000 is in fact a pretty large number imo. it’s funny too since there is 2-3 alliance premades running at these times and none of them will face each other. so disappointing.
What’s ‘delulu’ is expecting Blizzard to cater to people who are intentionally bypassing the restrictions they’ve put in place.
So you’re saying there’s 2-3 x as many premade players in Randoms BGs than there are solo players and also that Blizzard should get rid of them to “fix” Randoms?
I mean statistically
