So why can we get away with using the Nude Patch? Half of Moon Guard has used it for over a decade and Blizzard breaks it frequently, but nobody I know has ever been actioned for using it, and it’s a “must-have” mod for ERPers.
You should not say those things, now they will be looking for those people, the best way to use that type of addons/mods is that they do not find out that it exists, it is literally illegal.
That’s almost impossible to do in any company. And we were already affected by crappy gameplay.
I agree there needs to be other changes. And I’m sure there will be much more significant ones we never hear about, because those ones don’t affect us and only them. But not all can be that way.
When they decide to change their vision to be more inclusive for employees and consumers alike, this is the change we see. We either need to adapt or move on. I’ll hold off on doing anything until I see the full impact of everything.
And its also a great excuse for not doing actual work on the product.

Blizzard isn’t interested in a solution, they’re interested in virtue signalling to distract from what they did. So the guilty punish the innocent for their own wrongdoing.

that improves the gameplay style and gameloop in a next expansion, plus a content appropriate to a player who wants to get out of the routine of the reality of politics, restrictions, and the tendency to woke and cancel culture that makes the harsh reality appear even in the game environment.
not violence, not injustice, but oppression, tyranny and senseless supremacy of absurd political ideologies that intoxicate the quality of a game that the true responsible have at least taken care to maintain for 15 years a good video game quality despite of the problems observed by those times.
Without forgetting that we have a bad game systems, gameplay, and gameloop that only feeds the QUIT MOMENT of their games in front of MMO rivals that each time becomes their WOWKILLERS and sees them as hypocrites, and pathetic devs that nobody would hire them in others in companies to see that they do not want to play the same game with their other rivals and only want to see themselves in a good image in front of policies that never had anything to do and related to the world of video games.

The people making the changes are the devs who are working on the game.
Seriously? No kidding. Just because companies do something doesn’t mean it is for the right reason or is a good thing.
As I have pointed out in many other posts changes in a video game does not make a better working environment. If this were the case many other companies making media content greater than “T” would be in deep trouble.
It comes back to posturing.

It’s their work environment and they’re trying to make it better. I can see there’s little empathy or support for the devs from people here complaining about the changes though. Think you all should be ashamed of yourselves for being so selfish.

Unfortunately, at this point, seems the only solution to the censorship is to stop playing.
I cancelled a couple months ago and hoped Blizz would give me a reason to resub before my time ran out. But so far they haven’t addressed their employees’ demands, let alone met any of them, and instead have embarked on this puritanical purge of the game. So, staying cancelled.

Unfortunately quitting the game is exactly what the people who are demanding censorship and woke-ification want. They won’t be satisfied until every “problematic” hobby is destroyed and gone.

This punishes the players, while Blizzard does little to nothing internally to actually create a safe environment for their employees.

I play the game, I don’t feel punished.
I play the game and I feel punished. I feel like Im punished for giggling at flirts. I feel like they’re punishing or trying to parent players. As a woman I feel like they’re punishing women and everyone else for those those jokes or flirts.
Players either want to see the employees have a safe real life work place, or have lots of fun content to play, or both. It feels like instead of anyone at Blizzard and Wow working on the actual real life issues, they’re fixating on virtual pixels that so many players haven’t asked for. So many vocal players who are speaking out over this in a variety of places.

The company hasn’t once sat down with workers to work out the rest of the reason they are being sued. Like hostile, unfair work practices. When workers spoke out, they shredded evidence and hired a union busting firm. Maybe doing the opposite of that would be great.
