Because some people have a “need” to be triggered and victimized. They can’t be happy unless they are miserable.
And there is no proof for this.
The people making the changes have already explained why. Did you miss it?
That it is written by Blizzard on their website and on Twitter does not make it fact. In point of fact it makes it more likely that there is another reason beyond the stated reasons why they might do this, making YOUR hypothesis nothing more than an idiocy and straightforward sycophancy.
The social gamer wants there to be humor (even toilet humor) and other forms of interaction as part of the game. Stop making the game a social game and you defeat the entire point of an MMORPG (that MM stands for Massively Multiplayer implying more than a few people playing the game together (such as a LAN game)).
As to what we can do about their moronic decision to virtue signal to the entire world? We can, and likely should, opt out. It is their game and their IP and they can run it how they see fit but retconning lore and removing functionality that has been in the game for decades and to which no one has complained about (until AFTER Blizzard was sued by state and federal agencies for their own bad workplace behavior toward marginalized groups) smacks of the time dishonored Stalinist tactic of editing photos of disfavored former Soviet Heroes like Trotsky and Kamanev, and forcing of language changes or dialectic changes in true Orwellian fashion.
Of course it affects your gameplay. It affects EVERYONE’S gameplay. Negatively. It removes interaction elements from a game based on the premise that interaction is to be desired.

It makes it the information we know straight from the company.
It is hardly information. Disinformation would be closer to the truth. Even closer would be Pravda. The Russian word for Official Truth, which as we all know is much more akin to propaganda than it is to actual information that can be relied upon and compared with and agrees with observation.
<<— Censorship on/off. Add that in game options.

Because we’re sure they’re not just toeing the company line, right? I mean, they’re the devs, they have to be honest and pure, right?
We aren’t allowed. We just pay for the expacs and subs, so we need to shut up.
Any suggestions how to make both comfortable isn’t welcome it seems.
Like people who get upset over minor video game changes?
You guys are just caricatures at this point
“Le fake news!”
Getting offended by other people getting offended that don’t want these changes. Cool bro.
You have your opinion we have ours.
Well if they wanted to do something constructive they would remove that Pleasure Bot 8000.
That guy is always sneaking up behind you have trying to give you a massage it is just creepy.
It’s about what the employees felt wasn’t good for them or their work environment. This is for them, not us.
its like being mad you work at KFC because you are a vegan, perhaps seek a job at a place that fits your moral code, don’t force the customers to eat deep fried extra crispy tofu when they wanted chicken.
Have you looked at yourself
Really cool ideas in that they not only give private / pirate servers that mecanics was already done …
but from the same gamer community that in each forum have asked for a better system for the game instead of supporting some stupid things that were only detailed like being LGBT or some stupid censorship in the game.
Or in my case more to see more Skimpys armors or bikinis, which will only be a detailed image of the game, which works but still there would be a lot to satisfy the quality and fun of the game as it is.
That is why BfA and Shadowlands failed and this expansion in their game system, where are these pathetic devs, where is Ion who already disappeared from the void when there were these scandals? And although he was not the only one who left the company behind, he left us with the worst game system in all WoW, worse than his arpen, worse than eliminating 2h wepoans in Enchantencs Shamans, worse than Azerite.
And here is the problem because the new devs ignore us and they themselves cannot, for they want fresh ideas, of course … after imitating inappropriate style to the game such as level squish from Guilds Wars 2 and the Kultiran atmosphere of The Witcher THREE.
And it is the same that would happen when you send the producers about a story of a television or comedy series in which it is not so simple. And I mean to present a proposal on an excellent story, I would need to be one of these.

In other words, BEING FROM A KIND OF SYNDICATE, so it seems to me that it is one more reason why Blizzard devs do not have a bit of attention to ignore pirate servers or some of the community who wish that idea were in their video game .
That is why some things they totally ignore, and they never really had new ideas apart from the limits thanks to DRM and other copyright restrictions, it tends to be limited almost to make a reference, or inspiration, without some idiot no matter it is a plagiarism, consider it plagiarism.
And let’s not forget that they do not want to depend on anything, hah … ridiculous when it is convenient for them to refer to or inspire something other than to identify themselves in the game as I already said about Kul’Tiras and Reventhred with the Witcher THREE, knowing that plaguelands was a work mistress of terror in Azeroth.
And when the exact moment comes that WoW is going, it pays attention to a community not focused on the game and comes to limit or cowardly censor as it was with Pandaria and the War of Thorns.
Where was that BfA? Where is a good definition of a violent war, it was not with garrishons, it was with the players and in all Azeroth, not in Kul’tiras and in Zandalar only, the plot should not focus on female characters or other that are no longer in the times of the RTS, it is an MMO video game, not a series where the protagonist (you, and the rest of the gamers) had to be filler, worse than any NPC.
And worst of all, you can see that atmosphere, in the intro of Shadowlands, something different in it was seen in other cinematics.
where actually I was telling you that we are actually playing and it is not a clickbait.
even in WotLK no matter how much Arthas is, but the whole game was known that the expansion talked about this memorable character.
Not like in Shadowlands, where do you wonder, and where is Shadowlands in the cinematic? why again Sylvanas? what does this have to do with expansion?
It was seen as a teaser than an opening, yeah… like this.
and all the time we have to know that the expansion was only a clickbait, because in the end it would only be WoW: Sylvanas and not Shadowlands as they demonstrated in that cinematic.
That is why it seems that these new devs do not know anything about their surroundings, they were only wormbooks in which they only dedicated themselves to reading books and not seeing anything, they did not realize that their rivals have made the same play in their video game, already now he doesn’t want to do the same.
And worse than Server pirates have been taught that they have better ideas than what little brain they have.
I would say my only solution is that they change those devs, or make them go outside that they do for the game, and that they limit themselves, it is not good when politics invades the fun of video games is supremasist like the left-wing that USA always wanted not to imitate or become like those tyrants that they are.
Blizzard must actually wake up because he is not in a dream, he is only making a stark reality in the details of his video games.
Many of these changes aren’t being done for us.
They’re being done for the Blizzard devs who are not comfortable with that content being there.
When you’re not comfortable working on something, you’re not going be having fun, and that is going to impact your performance and the quality of work you’re able to put out.
You can actually measure this yourself. Try doing something that you don’t consider to be fun, or try doing something that makes you uncomfortable. The first hurdle is mustering up the effort to do it in the first place, but even once you leap over that hurdle, you want to get the task over and done with as fast as possible. So you’ll take whatever shortcuts you can, you may make mistakes that you wouldn’t have made if you were paying more attention etc.
So the devs have to be comfortable working with content in the game world, and that’s why many of these changes are happening. So they can be comfortable.
