Solo Shuffle Update - December 16

Could I have a special achievement called “Run Rabbit Run” for surviving a bunch of matches in solo shuffle as a hunter?

So, if you play a spec that’s essentially dead, you could get the “crimson legend” title, without even hitting 2400 to get the “legend” title?

You made arena (not just Solo Shuffle) require 2 dps per healer; the ratio is way off. Solo Shuffle is popular because finding a healer as a dps is a huge waste of time for the average player. 4 dps per healer may be what’s queueing, but the ratio of what role players actually want to play (with no healer incentive, equal queue time) is probably much higher, like 10 dps per healer.

The system needs to make no-healer games (doesn’t have to be 3v3, can change rules instead of first kill wins).

Same thing happened to me a few times yesterday. I’m fine without healers playing, just dps.

Thanks, I needed the laugh after similar games yesterday and then reading we’re losing Double Tap, one utility that actually helped…

When will these changes go live? I’m a few rating short of 2400 atm, but not sure if earned wins will count towards the title or if that’s being added in a future update.

I did some math to illustrate how ridiculous this is.

The top DH has a winrate of 65%. That means he has to win 3.89 out of his 6 games on average.

The only healer above 2.4k CR has a winrate of 72.5%. That means he wins on average 4.35 out of his 6 games.

The difference here is massive. The DH climbed by going just above 3-3 on average, which would make sense as anything above 3-3 is “winning” the 6 games.
The druid had go a mix of 5-1 and 4-2 at LEAST in order to climb. And he’s still 100 CR lower.

I’m reporting this to the bug forums.

It’s even more blown out of proportion when you look at the average of all dps above 2400.

As of writing this post:
Average winrate of all dps above 2400 is 61.12%. Winning 3.67 games out of 6 on average you can climb to 2.4k+

Average winrate of all healers above 2300 is 71.59%. Winning 4.30 games out of 6 on average and you can maybe get within 200 rating of the dps.

So to climb on a healer you have to win 5 or 6 games about 1/3 of the time. The rest you have to maintain at least 4-2.

A dps can go 3-3 and as long as they go 4-2 about as often, they will climb.

It’s extraordinary long because you removed the tank que that would of helped the que times for DPS. You broke it, now change it back.

If you want healers to Que. make sure we get ranking every game! I have played a lot this morning and got +2 ranking. I won most of the games with 3+ wins. Please fix this or we healers won’t be queuing. We get throw where ever to fill the Que so not always against people of our ranking so even if we 6-0 we get no ranking!

This is why Blizzard needs tank ques back or drastically change their system. How idiotic of them to make que times this long.

It’s incredibly frustrating to que as a healer right now. I’ve played 4 matches where I won, but I was thrown into a Q with low CR individuals so I didn’t get anything but honor. There is no incentive right now.

A reward I think will be a win/ win situation is a BOA honor token (50-100). As a healer I typically play other healers so being able to gear them and not have to play bgs to get them geared will allow for more healers in solo shuffle. Also, some dps will play healers just for the tokens to gear their other chars. If that’s not enough, earn bloody tokens through solo shuffle as an alternative.

Can we PLEASE remove tanks from being able to Queue into solo shuffle as a healer. I’m getting sick and tired of getting in with tanks instead of having a healer and losing 40+ points because it’s a joke!

Happened to me today.

Had 5 wins and someone left so, rating unchanged.

I came here to post my thoughts on solo shuffle’s leaver issue. I see that you plan to improve that situation already.

There’s two issues I see with the current setup.

First and foremost, if I am causing 5 enemy healers to rage quit in a row, I want those wins on my record. I don’t want to be continually paired with that person. Let me move up. I won the match.

Secondly, you’re giving the losingest player too much power to take out their frustration on others. I gave it a shot playing that perspective. Before I started building my rating, I took some time to pretend to be bad and mock rage quit the first few rounds just to see how much power you are giving people. It is just too powerful, and it is the wrong kind of power. It’s like being at the self checkout, and snatching someone’s wallet and ripping up their money because you are struggling with the pin pad at your register, and that being perfectly legal. It is totally misdirected and impacting innocent parties exclusively.

Thank you for considering fixing these critical issues.

As far as how to fix queue times, bring back tank queue, and let people opt out. Let people pick between grueling queue times or healerless queue.

Would it be possible to just queue into 3 dps vs 3 dps vs toggle?

So you are part of the problem.

I played all of S4 without leaving a match, I wasn’t quite aware how simple and how abusable it was. It is good to have information. I didn’t like doing it at all and I don’t actually know how far you can push it, but you can push it so far that I felt like a huge piece of crap and couldn’t continue it. It’s not a me problem, it shouldn’t be possible to do, at least not with it so severely affecting others. I do it 1 hour of a season, sure I’m a turd, but there’s surely people who would make harassing other people in solo shuffle their whole game focus for as long as they could do it.
