Solo Shuffle Ruined PvP

Yes that is right

I personally prefer to call it Rimworld even if DF came first.

Typical of an elf showing disrespect of the dwarves

Speak for yourself lol. While I agree with you that Bobby sucks, solo queue should be in every competitive pvp game at this point.

I feel that not having solo queue for so long did more damage to wow pvp than anything else.

Want to know what REALLY sucks?

ā€“ being a non-meta spec and trying to pug 2s/3s/rbgs in lfg. These specs often canā€™t even play the game because [generally speaking] no one wants to play with an underperforming spec;

ā€“ spending your time actively looking for partners in lfg, the vast majority of which will be ready to bail after 1-2 losses (and thatā€™s if you ever find partners, because it isnā€™t a guarantee that you will). At least with solo queue, even with long queue times, you are guaranteed to get to play (and you donā€™t have to actively search for partners), as any spec you want to play (having said this, they do need to implement priority queue if you couldnā€™t finish all 6 rounds due to a leaver/disconnect); and

ā€“ never getting to play when youā€™re able to because the time(s) that you can play is/are when hardly anyone else is playing.

Solo/duo/trio queue will save what is left of wow pvp!

I imagine (actually I admit) that it is probably more fulfilling to play in a full premade with good friends, but most doing this are seriously taking for granted how difficult it is to find the needle in a haystack that is e.g., 2 other like-minded, similarly skilled players that also happen to have the same time availabilities to dedicate to playing (and hoping they both main a spec that works with yours comp-wise).

A lot of the wow playerbase is past that teenage/early-mid 20s phase where youā€™re willing and able to play the game all day/every day, so relatively speaking, their time is more valuable (in the sense that they have less to waste), and they arenā€™t going to want to spend it suffering through lfg when the likelihood that doing so will result in a positive outcome is incredibly small.

Iā€™m happy for you guys that have regular partners. Perhaps even jealous to an extent, but irl responsibilities get to a point where itā€™s no longer a viable option to spend hours/weeks/years trying to find partners you mesh with, let alone partners youā€™d like to voice with for hours on end x amount of times per week.

I love solo queue. Give me more of it please

PvPers ruined PvP.

Thereā€™s nothing wrong with the game having soloq option, itā€™s almost necessary at this point.

Not entirely accurate. Half the solo shuffle issues are issues of Blizzardā€™s creation that are 100% out of player hands.

Which problems are you talking about? I think the issue that needed to be addressed was the leaver/MMR issues and healer engagements, but this could be addressed down the line.

Nice bro. Always great to see other DF enjoyers.

Healer MMR gains being stifled, healer Matchmaking (2400 shouldnt be queueing against 1700 mmr.) And the resultant lack of healers because of those two points having massive adverse effect on queue times?

The fact that you didnā€™t think of these just means your source was ā€œbro, trustā€ when you said the only problem was players.

I literally mentioned those and more should be addressed.

Why are you so combative?

Itā€™s gonna have a 2 hours wait time.

They need to restrict elite set/enchants to 3s or add more unique rewards to 3s for people that canā€™t get glad.

Iā€™ve had way too many DPS scream at me in solo
Shuffle for me to care anymore. If my reward for trying is to be treated terribly then why bother.

Not for healers and their one friend.

Iā€™m not comfortable when people swap to my team and start badmouthing the other healer.

I assume theyā€™re doing the same thing to me when theyā€™re on the other side.

When they really go off on a furious rant, I wonder if theyā€™re aware thereā€™s a healer shortage. And their insults might be exacerbating the problem.

I donā€™t enjoy healing angry/toxic players.

Same. Also awkward when dps start trash talking other dps (considering they will eventually be on their team again), or when dps trash talk the healer they are now on a team with (or will be on the same team again).

On the same note, healers shouldnā€™t be trash talking dps either. As a dps, I donā€™t enjoy dpsing for angry/toxic healers.

And then thereā€™s always that very awkward moment when someone trash talks another player whoā€™s still on their team.

Idk if itā€™s accidental or intentional.

Which would kill arena participation yet again. Thereā€™s a few reason why 3v3 wasnt popular, and that is/would be one of them.

2s is trash but 3s is the best game mode by a long shot. Just becuase you guys are lazy and donā€™t want to play it doesnā€™t mean this isnā€™t true. The ONLY issue with 3v3 is that it isnā€™t the path of least resistance to rewards and you guys are cringelords that just want whatever makes it easy to get rewards so you can log off

Balance is close to the best itā€™s ever been with a minor blemish in 10.1.7. Iā€™ll give them a pass with the Augmentation cringe because itā€™s a brand new spec introduced in the middle of an expac and theyā€™re never done that before.

I actually agree with this. The main issue with solo shuffle is that it has rating tied to it which means people can acquire rewards from it. Shuffle as an easy skirmish mode to practice / just play the game stress free and an easy option to rind conquest and honor is all the game ever should have been. Adding rating was bad for a multitude of reasons.

Who is we?

Solo shuffle os my fave thing they have added to the game since Arena in BC. Could use a little refinement, but it is most likely the future of the game.
