Tbh wpal has been a lot easier to beat since shadowmourne got accessed. Way less experienced players at higher ratings is free wins.
Again though, the gear wall solves itself. By the time youre queuing into shadowmourne youve got 1800+ cr and can get 264-270 rewards.

I try to avoid hot takes. I like to avoid bias. Thats why im saying this as someone who has 0 raids done in wotlk and is 2300+ casually 10 games a week, still rival.
If i can casually push elite capping with my friend every week the gear wall is a myth. I suck.

People that called wrath PvP the best or even close to the best should be tarred and feathered. What a bait. Credit where credit is due, it was a big leap forward in depth and skill from TBC but thatâs not a high bar. Forgettable compared to what came after.
It has been a wait for MoP classic angle since 2017
TBC is bis. Wrath 2nd. Canât decide between cata and mop Iâm biased towards cata as I hated MoPâs approach to modernizing class design further, but arena was still fun. Everything else dumpster tier. Iâll take my tar and feathers.
I canât understand disliking TBC or Wrath. Only subjectively. E.G you donât like the classic classes. Saying theyâre bad makes me want to assume you have no clue how to play in those expansions so it affects your perception of them.
Can you list some things TBC / Wotlk that ruins the game for you?

To be clear, Iâm still in challenger range. but thatâs also my point. Iâm in the bottom 30% and just cleared the gear wall last night. Full wrathful, playing casually as possible on my alt. Started the season in furious & wintergrasp pieces.

I 100% think people who are complaining about gear in wotlk are just making excuses and donât want to try to learn the meta. Outside of getting countergeared and sniped on a glad push, obviously thatâs BS.
It is the classes. The way theyâre designed pre-ghostcrawler is âbring the class, not the playerâ with weaknesses by design that are meant to be made up for by grouping with other classes. I donât like rock paper scissors. I donât like having such strict limitations.
For some reason people see homogenization as a bad word. I am pro homogenization. It is what made MoP a beloved PvP expansion. Finally warriors and hunters could sustain themselves, kiting and gapclosing was fair. Everyone was good at everything yet classes didnât feel like copies of each other. Having so many capabilities also made the skill ceiling skyrocket.
Yeah until people realize MoP was bad too.
