They knew that when they announced a sub was needed for an invite that tons of people would resubscribe in hopes of getting one.
They also knew that they would be handing streamers access even if they weren’t subscribed or hadn’t played WoW in over a decade, or at all as we’ve learned recently about some of the streamers.
This beta was never about testing and the integrity of Classic, it was about hype and money from the beginning.
No offense, but this account is a Vanilla account that has been active and played ever since. Neither of us got in. You have some options. Complain here and in all probability get harshly ridiculed. Unsub and spend your time and money elsewhere as you have admitted to doing for almost a decade now. OR you could use your time to catch up on the expansions you missed. Current end game is a boring steaming pile of moose dung, but there are some really nice zones and quests over the years that you will be able to see for the first time.
I didn’t start playing wow until 2011, during cata, and I got an invite. I am not a streamer, nor have I ever been. However, I cleared Cata raids and all xpac since Cata. I have been PVPing since then as well. I have logged a lot of hours playing. Like someone said earlier, I don’t think they can tell anymore when you started playing, I think they may just look at the play time you have logged.
Same here. This is one of my vanilla accounts from way back with my 60 human knight ranked mage. I joined at the chance to test also simply because I LITERALLY played vanilla and wanna make it better. shrugs
Grab your pitchforks boys.
This one stole one of our vanilla player spots in the beta.
Logs in and is looking around for his garrison probably. Wondering why he cant send his automatic bots out on world quest daily missions from his mobile. And so reports that as a bug whilst real bugs are staring him in the clueless face.
What a waste.
Revoke your access please, some of us didnt get invites but should have ie me.
ta very much.
lol garrison? Like I said, I have played and cleared all xpacs since Cata. Garrison is sooo 2014. If you are referencing garrisons, then it’s probably a good thing they didn’t give you an invite. Save your salt for your tequila you can cry in later.
Yes it shows back to a certain point, but I was just pointing out that someone had mentioned that they had cleared and re-done databases since vanilla and that it might not show back to vanilla.
To be honest, I am not sure why some of those that played vanilla and stopped playing a couple years after are feeling so entitled when they haven’t put much time into the game since then. Why wouldn’t Blizz reward those have been loyal for a much longer time? That makes a lot more sense to me. It definitely doesn’t make sense that you should be upset if someone has played WoW for 8 years and you only played vanilla thru BC.
This is always misunderstood by general audiences, but here’s the deal: Beta isn’t a demo you are entitled to. At the end of the day, it is there strictly for testing purposes.
If you are the most hardcore fan of Warcraft and have been here since the beginning, your chances might be higher, but they aren’t going to send out 100k invites just because you were loyal.
